Here's my snail pace progress, but every little bit counts, right? Just some pre-base colors. Next, paint the water and bridge some more and pour some Vallejo Still water in there. Then, will be some glue, snow coat, and churned up snow and mud. Last, will be icicles and a little ice on waters edges.

I may have gone a little too heavy mixing the Vallejo paint with the Still water, but drying time will tell.... I almost forgot to remove the tape protecting the KV2 turret when I began pouring but caught that It should be fun rusting up that KV2 turret a bit. Still to paint bridge, snow coat & chunky snow/mud, icicles on bridge, tree stumps....

Thanks for the great responses everyone!!!!

The snow was made with now out of production 'Snow-Coat' but I think you can use the same techniques substituting another product.
1. 50/50% of white PVA glue/water then mixed with plaster of paris until its a toothpaste consistency. Spread it in areas you want the snow as a base coat.
2. 60/40% Mix white PVA glue/water then mixed with Snow-Coat until a wet sand texture (a little goes a long way 1/4 cup I think) and spread on top of the previous step. Leave some extra to dry on a plastic cover for next step.
3. Smash up the extra snow left on the plastic cover. Wet the areas on the base where the tracks churned up snow and sprinkle these snow bits on top.

That's it

We're thinking about an extension here.

How many need more time and how long?

I think we will extend this 2 more months for those to catch up and any late joining here and then some special exceptions as well.

Jeff,

I'm making a mad dash to finish in time, but an extension would be welcome.

Tracks and wheels are together. I have most of the hull assembly complete and have begun priming.

I did manage to lose most of my gun muzzle, so I am going to try fashioning a muzzle cover to hide my mistake.

Jeff if there is a 2 month extension I'll join with a Dragon Stug F smart kit. Probably with a few Evolution crew figures too

Cheers

At least 2 months Paul, but it's not for me guys to finish mine. There are a few extenuating circumstances for others.

I might jump back on my build (pretty sad that the Campaign Leader of his own Campaign cannot finish, huh) but it's a long term build of the way I want it to look and I'm not rushing.

I should have picked an easier project.

Okay... we have been granted a 2 month extension, and then some for a few select individuals.

Thanks Gary!

AND, I promise to on Christmas day to work on my StuG. It'll be MY gift to ME that day.

Okay Paul and Antonio... let's get our StuG's done! Remember, it finishes in 2 months.

And Merry Christmas to you too Philippe. I'm glad everyone enjoyed this Campaign and I'm sorry I wasn't around much but I'm thinking once my other upcoming Campaigns are finished maybe a StuG Part II?
