Got the decals mounted on the White but did not complete all the many other details in time for the Dayton show.
The combo still competed in the show but I had to place the entire rig in the "Best Unfinished Model" class. I did garner a gold metal in this class up against a very impressive 50's era short bed Ford pickup being accurized with hundreds of hand made body and frame parts. (I would have given him the gold!)

Is it true that White was acquired by Volvo? Heard something about it on TV but they did not tell the entire story.

Volvo has been playing with entry into the US long haul truck market since 1959. In 1981 Volvo purchased certain portions of White Motor Company and started manufacturing vehicles under the White-Volvo name. In 1988 Volvo entered into a joint venture with GM and started selling trucks using the WHITEGMC badge. In 1997 Volvo bought out GM's entire share in WhiteGMC and now markets their Virginia built/assembled line of trucks throughout North America under the Volvo name.

One item can now be crossed off my list: Finished the steering wheel, steering column, trailer air brake control valve plus I have now added air hoses to that steering column mounted brake valve.
d
Still have to add inside door handles, vacuum operated windshield wiper motors, fire extinguishers and gas cans and tie down straps.

How much do they normally go for as I am assembling quite an ecclectic group of mostly tracked vehicles and could maybe do a workshop diorama?

You might check eBay - I think they are going for $25-$30USD for a PAIR of compressors.
Mirror Models was very generous on a recent order and I thought I would share the good fortune with fellow modelers.

You know I can never leave anything well enough alone. I remember seeing many air compressors come through my Dad's shop as I was growing up. I recall they always had a screen wire safety shield over the drive belts and pulleys so I had to scratch build one for my as yet still unfinished Mirror Diamond T Wrecker.
. . . . and I WILL straighten up that gas tank. I promise!

Hello Michael Just wondering if everything is alright. Haven't seen you around for a while.

I appreciate you asking!
One emergency gall bladder in mid-August followed by a severe infection and then double knee replacement surgery on October 13 has a way of slowing one down.
Been fairly out of it since August. I start back to work Monday a week and things are starting to get back to normal, more or less.
Again thanks for asking.

Mike,
How many parts and piece from the 666 be used on the Mack NO7? Wondering because the rear springs and axles look similar to those used on the NO7, wheels look like those used on the NO also. In the planning stages for building the Mack NO
