VIC-2 SINCGARS has been updated and uploaded. I honestly have no idea if it will print as I believe there are some areas that are below the posted minimum limits. I can't update the Pre-SINCGARS model right now as I had accidentally overwritten that with the SINCGARS model. Oops. I'll have to redo that model and apply the needed changes.

AN/VIC-2 "Pre-SINCGARS" is now updated and available. Now I'm just curious as I've never really found an answer; am I able to post links to these products? Not physically able as I know how but conforming to the forum rules able.

New update on AN/GRR-5 radio. Many more details added. I think the last pieces to be added will be the side clasps and then it will be finished.

The AN/GRR-5 is nearly finished. I'll pattern it out into a set of 2 soon. I will try to contact someone a family member knows who may be able to help on the SINCGARS project. Hopefully they will be able to help me finish it. Don't forget to check out some of the other designs I've done.
In case anyone is interested, here is the 1/16 AN/VIC-5 set. I will need to go back into this model and resize and change up some parts to make it more affordable.
1/16 AN/VIC-5
The SU-233/PVS "M3X" tactical illuminator
SU-233/PVS
The newest model, the SOPMOD "Crane" Stocks:

And the Pre-SINCGARS AN/VIC-2:

Thanks for the suggestion. I picked up a set off Amazon along with a tripod (my phone is the only good camera I really have right now). The macro lens works pretty well. The only downside is that it's 19x and can really only capture one of the FFCS pieces in the FoV. I think I should have gone with 15x. But a macro lens is a macro lens... At least for now.

I picked up this set for about £10 last year. It's actually quite good for Macro shots from a phone

Mike, when I looked at the SOPMOD stocks I noticed the only image of them shows the bottom of the casting block, not the actual stocks. Everything else is amazing. You are really meeting a need here.

Yeah I know about the preview picture. I've tried changing the view angle of the preview but unfortunately the feature that does that on the model edit page isn't doing it. I don't know why. There is a 3D viewer at the very end of the picture roll that lets you scroll around the model.

Mike, any thoughts on the full size Russian tank light? My idea was to have this in two hollow halves, which could then be made into a real lamp using LED lights. I would intend to do a SBS on this site on how this could be done, possibly creating more orders...

I'm sorry, I haven't gotten around to it yet. Was working on multiple projects and a calculus class. Do you have any measurements for the light?

Hey everybody. I've been doing a bit of 3D design work for a time now and I have a shop set up at Shapeways here: Mike's Model Shop. I'm looking for more projects and I'd like to know what you guys here would like to see. If I think I can do it, I'll try it. I don't have any armor stuff up yet but I hope to expand that.
I am looking for people to do some reviews on the products (eventually). If you would like to do a review, you have to buy the product yourself as I just don't have the money to buy review products for everyone. If you want to, contact me and I can remove the markup for a short period of time so you could buy the product at the lowest price (Shapeways' base price, I won't be getting anything from that). I will do that for the first 5 review purchases per product.
That said, I am not a professional with this program, Autodesk Inventor, and I do this as a side hobby. There are some things I just can't do, some due to limitations of the program and some just because I don't have the experience but if I think I can do it, I will try it.
So anyone have any suggestions?
1/35 WWII US Weapons- DRAGON is VERY STINGY in producing "GEN 2" US WWII Weaponry.
It would be very nice to have a better option than buying extra DRAGON kits just for the "GEN 2" US M1 Garands, M1 Carbines, M1911 .45 ACP Auto Pistols, M1920 & M1 Thompson Submachine Guns, etc, etc, etc...

Thank for those diagrams. They'll be a massive help.
There is a set of 1/35 Thompsons on Shapeways already. I don't know how good/bad it is though. I'll go ahead and try a set of these weapons though.

I have had a couple weapons printed:
a 12ga shotgun:
And the Infamous China Lake 40mm pump action Grenade launchers:
The folding sight on the GL were the only real spot where the printing had issues. PE would be best for them.

Mike,
what about track links for the Norwegian NM-116 (upgraded M24 Chaffee)?
They received Diehl tracks when they were refurbished. The tracks are not available from any comppany and in the kit only a rubberband track is provided.
I have an official Diehl factory drawing I could mail you, in case you are interested in this.

Sure, I could try it. I think I'd go with separate tracks blocks and connectors in this case.

Anything on the M125 mortar mount in 1/35 scale?
Would need the turn table, mount and bipod. I don't think the system can really catch the M29 81mm mortar. Be nice to have the light box too, but the turntable and mount with bipod would be great.
