I'll take a look into it.
I finished the initial design of the M113 ramp pulleys:

And here is the profile view. I had to completely guess at the depth of the pulleys (width in this picture) and the angle. If it's off, I will correct it when I get the needed info for it.
I also just discovered the Render feature in one of the newer programs I have. The model looks pretty good. Now I just need to get it off the 'Cloud' to convert it to STL and upload it.

Dear MIke, Yaroslav has been promising (for almost 2 years now, I think) us an helicopter M3M made by FN-Herstal and called also a
GAU-21 so if you were able to do it, I'm quite certain lot's builders would look for it. And me for a minimum of 2.

Hi Mike, justs tumbled across this discussion. Seems everyone is into radio kit so what about a 1960-1970 radio set such as an RT66-GRC (it would be set applicable for vietnam vehicles (mutts, M113 etc)and IDF stuff up to lebanon (jeeps, half tracks etc).

Sure. I've found some general dimensions of the exterior but if you could provide of the specifics that'd be great and would make for a quicker model time.
Nicely done, and applicable to M48 and M60 kits as well (actually the M47 kit's plastic ones are pretty nice, but all of the Dragon and Revell Germany M48 stowage box latches are just blobs, so these could be really handy--might even do for M1 stowage boxes).
But I was actually referring to the stowage box grab handles, which are massively thick, due to the constraints of 1970's mold making technology. They're about a scale inch in diameter, and it would be nice to have something daintier. Making multiple, perfect, 90-degree bends with wire is a hassle, especially when you need so many identical ones side by side, and Eduard's attempt at photoetch replacement parts look like inch-wide, sheet metal strap irons, not bent rod. It would be really cool if you could generate a printable set of these.

I can work in any scale. 1/35, 1/32, 1/280, 35/56... Because it's 3D CAD I can do any scale. If the design is in one scale but needed in another, I can scale it up or down as needed. I can do aircraft parts but I can't do large curved surfaces like wings or large fuselage areas.

I received the speaker boxes today. They look equally as nice as the rest of the VIC-3 system. Great job on them. Now how about that VIC-1/2 system....

They're ready but they're also not ready... I need to redo the two covers and flip them over to make them easier to remove from the print. And I need to make the rear cover more printable.
I also need to try to find a few new free 3D CAD programs for various reasons. I believe I'll be able to use FreeCAD and/or OpenSCAD with comparable results to what I'm getting now. I will be trying others as well to find programs that I can understand reasonably well and provide relatively good results.

I have been considering a knife for some time. I will look into more but I can't promise anything. I looked into a tomahawk and I think the curves of the blade are bit too complex currently.

All, not to steal Mikes thread, but I just did a set of chain binders, I went thru ordering it 5 times because of how small it is.
These were at the very edge of printable, so things like knives and Multi tools probaby won't be printable.

Very nice, Matt. Not that I can really see or know what it even is.
Frankly, the knives
may be doable simply because of how short the blade is in relation to the width. Swords? Most likely not. The length is much greater in comparison to it's width so it's much more likely to break or be unprintable.

Thank you. Time for a now needed update. I had to update the M113 pulley set right out of the gate as per a suggestion from a club member. The supports I was using for the covers and rear pieces (not sure what to call them) were placed inside the parts in such a way that it would make removing them and still having a 1 piece part next to impossible. I had to flip the 4 parts upside down from previous and add the supports externally. This leaves some surfaces scars but should clean up. I also thickened the part in the back (actually completely redesigned it) that attaches to the rear of the pulley to make it less likely of breaking. New picture:

Unfortunately I've run into some problems with the AN/VRC-12 model. I just can't figure round-about numbers for the various parts on the exteriors. I've also made the basic shapes for a WWII-era radio and a set of SINCGARS radios. Unfortunately I haven't enough resources at the current time to really continue with them at a good pace. I'll be contacting a museum to hopefully be able to collect a good wealth of resources on just radios and intercoms. Does anyone have any other suggestions in the mean time?

I've been getting in contact with some eBay sellers and restoration people trying to see if they would be able to provide measurements of some older SINCGARS sets, AN/VIC-1, AN/VRC-12, and AN/GRR-5 sets along with a host of other types including a complete Clansman set and a PRC-77. Hopefully they'll get back to me with some measurements shortly but I've also only recently contacted them so it's premature to expect a response soon. In the meantime, I'll see if there are some more projects to be had. (hint)
