I guess I got that M113 ramp pulley out at the perfect time. Wonder if the new AFV Club M113 will have one.

I can't find much on the AN/VIC-1 and everyone who I've contacted still has yet to say anything. I will be converting my VIC-3(V) model into a VIC-5(V) as each component is the same size and the systems meant to be interchangeable. As always, if you have something you'd like to see, just post it up here, send me a message or shoot me an email. My email is around this thread somewhere.

New set in development!
Start on the VIC-5 TGS (Tactical Gateway Station). It is still a bit unfinished as I have yet to implement some connections. I also have yet to find any pictures of the sides being shown for all of the systems units: The left and front sides. If anyone has any information on the system that would fix these deficiencies, don't hesitate to message me.

Getting nearly finished with the VIC-5 TacG2 design. I am also starting on a LV2 version of the ROVIS VIC-3 set for light vehicles like HMMWVs and whatnot. Luckily, all thats needed for the LV2 is the moving around of some parts. Renders will be incoming soon (as soon as I get finished... I hope).

Your part might be even more popular with a new kit to put it on.

Well, that's if the AFV Club kit comes with a pulley. On the one hand I hope it doesn't so that this set does well but on the other I hope it does for obvious reasons. We shall see.

I actually have it and was using it. I've gotten through that problem already though as I'm now using a Hobbyist/Enthusiast/Startup license for Fusion 360.

Just to let you all know, there is a 15% off sale on all products printed in Frosted Detail plastics on Shapeways when you use the code FLASH15FDSALE. This sale lasts from 5/20 to 5/25. I hope it's OK to mention this here. Also, I plan to get the VIC-5 set up by then. Plus, I have a bigger idea for the VIC-3 set... A much bigger idea.

I finished the LV2 model. Now you can put the VIC-3 system into your HMMWVs and other light vehicles.

I just finished the VIC-5 design and I'm now waiting for some renders to finish. I also finished the instruction booklet/glossary.
And here's the booklet:

Ok guys, this is the time you've all been waiting for...
Yep. A VIC-1. I will also be doing it in conjunction with a VRC-12 set.

The VIC-3 or VIC-5 systems would be fine in a Cougar.

Yes, what Gino said. Pretty much any US multi-crew combat vehicle will use a VIC-3 or -5. But like I had said earlier, light behind like HMMWVs (Humvees) will use the LV2 system and not the VIC-3 system. On the VIC-5 I have included a mTGS. This is a Mini Tactical Control Unit. My only guess is that this is just like the MCS/L of the LV2 - used for light vehicles.
Also, on each of the listings I put a list of vehicles that use the system. It's an abridged list but it's still a list of vehicles.

Not too much work will be done today. I need to make a few calls for a real job and then there's a webinar I signed up for.

Bit more work done on the VIC-1. AM-1780/VRC amplifier is finished and I made the bases for the C-2298s and -10940 or 10490s.
Remember, I'm always open to critiques. As well as any suggestions or ideas you may have. I might not be able to get to it today or tomorrow but I will get to it at some point.

Well sadly the modeling on the VIC-1 must come to an early end. Looking at the dimensions in the Technical Manual, I've come to the conclusion that the dimensions for C-2296 and -2297 are inaccurate and hence unusable. Even C-2298 and -10456 are incorrect in placement but correct in magnitude. I can no longer continue with the dimensions given. I was able to successfully complete AM-1780 and C-2298 and -10456.

I had to update the M3 Stuart headlight guards model to ensure that it didn't break. It's a bit more expensive but it should survive to get to you. I also need to update the Stowage Box handles model to make them printable.

Thanks to a document someone had sent me with good dimensions of many pieces of VIC-1 related equipment, I was able to catch a major error in my model. Even though the AM-1780 amplifier is correct (nearly spot on I might add), the other boxes, C-2298 and C-10456 are completely wrong. The width is off by a full millimeter. I will be taking the model down from the shop while I correct it. While that's going on I will also be adding the rest of the stations and the elbow-shaped connectors which will just be basic. Stay tuned.
