Stage 11 Work gets going on the exterior of the fighting compartment in the form of the hatches and altered roof panels. All of these hatches can be opened or closed and use different parts to achieve that. I found the fit to be pretty much perfect, but in the belief that most of us will have the hatches open make sure you use the correct parts and place them on the right side. A three quarter figure is supplied in the box and while quite good I do not feel it is acceptable for such a large hatch opening.

Stage 12 The front hull panel is next to be covered here and again the hatches can be open if desired, but again the openings are large which unlike the fighting compartment lacks any of the needed detail. Due to this I suspect most will have the hatches closed unless you want to tackle a lot of scratch building or have another plan for filling the empty space.

Darren, nice to see you've been able to fit some "proper modelling" in among the unbelievable amount of work you put in on this site, and I hope you manage to get your plans for the diorama around this through to completion. I know the feeling about having to go buy additional tracks for a review sample kit. By the way, last sentence on page 11 - "I should also add..."

Well done build guide. I really appreciate showing those workable track links but for the many modelers who don't/can't manage aftermarket items, I would also like to see what the kit tracks look like on the model. Maybe just one side as an example, then pull them off?

Thank you for a very inspiring approach, however Dragon made a big mistake, there's no radiorack on the backwall of the fighting compartment, leading to the motorroom, I don't know where they got this information from, I have the German workshop manual on the Stug 111 A-D, and on none of them there's any evidence o this radiorack.
