Hi Jerry,
The flat on the car and the damage look good as does the figure, nice work. One thought on the other dead guy (the first one) is that the right hand which is fist like. Maybe another hand at a slight downward angle to the arm. I've looked at the pose a few time s and it does seem a bit to close to hand on hip if you know what I mean.
Excellent progress.
Cheers
Al

Wow! There's a lot of life in that face. (Hah, irony...) But wow though, that's some good work there. Very subtle effects too. I've got that AM decal set as well, have given it use a few times. Good stuff. I too have been wondering where Romain is hahaha

Hi Jerry,
as I wrote in the other posting I was AFK for about a week! Had to go to Luxembourg to sort some things out!
Back to your work...WOW!!!! The poor guy looks really dead! Where was he hit?
And the Citroen looks terrific already!!! I see you have chosen a traditional dark yellow. I myself cannot avoid being attracted by this tone rather than the dull greyish tone discovered now!
Keep up the superb work m8!!!
Cheers

Thanks Al,
I had also considered that hand and its' position and I came to the conclusion that it wouldn't be that noticeable when he is in the groundwork. Good eye though.

Thanks buddy. I was wondering where you had gotten to. I am happy to hear it was just a trip and not health oriented.
Since this guy is barely seen in the back seat I wasn't too worried about the wound, etc.

Thanks Kurt and Romain,
It may not seem like a big deal but getting my airbrush to work like this was quite an achievement for myself!!
I used the Tamiya thinner with Tamiya brown and green paints. I think the thinner was the key. Plus,I decreased the pressure to about 15psi and so could get closer to the surface when spraying. The cammo pattern was a little different because I ad to cover up some mistakes I made with the original green spray!!
Not bad for a beginner I suppose.

Hello,
I haven't posted much lately, been very busy, but have kept up to date.
I have to say this looks great.
The guys in the car look very realistic but handled in as tasteful a way as possible, I think.
The car looks good, too.
Can't wait to see it all come together.
Cheers,
Sean

Thanks Sean and Al,
I don't want to bore with too many pics. The aim here is to show what each layer looks like.
This layer was dark brown oil wash followed by black oil wash in the grill and wheels and a few door opening lines, etc. Some chips were started with Citadel steel color and then a variable surround with a mix of dark brown and dark red Valejo. I still need to add some faint outlines in dark grey to accent the chips and holes.
Merde!!! What did these guys do to my beautiful Citroen??

Sir, what will it take to get you into this fine car? ... only slightly used ... radio, camouflage and shrapnel holes included!
I think you've sold me on the Citroen!

All of the talk about trees got me motivated to skip a few steps ahead to see what I could come up with for the natural camouflage that I planned for the car.
Since it is not on a tree and therefor stands out more,I settled on the laser cut oak leaves glued to fine twigs from a plant root. After looking at color pics on the interweb of oakleaves I made them two different colors by painting them a lighter olivegreen followed by a wash of medium olivegreen. Since this is august in this dio I don't think there would be acorns yet?
Here are the first few branches which will ultimately have more brothers plus a few wires to hold them onto the car.
Against a quick background pic.
Doesn't look like much work but it was!

Yes, there's a lot of buzz about trees and foilage lately. Your creation adds another twist — a great example of foliage used for camouflage.
Landscaping and vehicle disguise — keep it coming!
