Lots of nice work!
I got some more paint on, painted the missiles and the second camo color.
Cheers Rob.

Hi there,
I had a real sh$$ day, work was a pain, the train was late getting home, had an argument with the better half, and then I hit my Hetzer with a jar of Mattcoat thats gone off.
John and Tat, thanks for the cool remarks, but now she´s
going to go for Paint job #3. Oh yeh, the camo was brush painted, as it appears to be so in the reference I used as
a guide.
Brent, stick in there mate it happens to all of us
Rob, at least your build looks top class
Here´s one more look at the Hetzer, before I take it to the Paint shop for a re-spray:
I ran upstairs and tried to scrub the damned stuff off
but, as I pre-warm my kits prior to painting, it had dried before I got the water and soap on it.
All that I need now is to run out of beer . If that happens I shall go to bed, which will more than likely be
occupied by the cat.
Oh bloody Mondays
Paul

Sorry to hear that. It seems like this wasn't your day. I really hope you are not out of beer! That would have been a true disaster after such a day. Chill out, have a beer or a Scotch, usually when things go bad at such a pace, it never ends well, so don't push your luck. Tomorrow will be a whole new day.
PS. As you said Paul, Bloody Mondays.... having one myself..

Paul,
Sorry about your Day.
I get that same whitish blotches on my flat coats some times a little scraping on the really bad spots and then a coat of clear usually fixes it.
Cheers Rob.

Sorry to hear about that Paul.
Going thru what may have been their worst time, I guess this pair seem to be doin' fine:
We all have days like such, when things don't seem to work all at the same time. Me am glad it just happens once in a while. The consolation is that you now know which paint bottle to throw away!
Laugh it off, I'd say and do have a cold one. Paint job 3? -- what the heck, you can do it man!
Cheers,
Tat

Hello,
I had to retouch the camo following some visible seepage from the masks; likewise a bit of light sanding to smoothen out the "ridges" left by the mask.
I then went to put on a coat of Future, followed by a light shade to blend the camo, then decals:
I'm glad that the decals still work so I made full use of what's provided. No specific unit depicted in the instructions, just indications on where to place them and alternatives -- so I guess one is pretty much left to his own on this.
More weathering:
Details on road wheels are too soft, and there are couple which seem to be just round disks
making it difficult on the painting side. Need to work on this, so hopefully some weathering will hide the imperfections.
Just realized its just a little over two weeks before the deadline -- I'd better get crackin' on this.
More to come
Cheers,
Tat

Hi all, and thanks for your sympathy. That Monday is gone,
I drowned it .
Mike: not bad for "nuthin fancy"
Tat: looking good, but don´t go and rush things. You might regret it
Well here you you have it, it´s a little different, paint job # 3:
Now this time with gloss and not Mattcoat that turned bad:
now to let that dry until tomorrow and then the Dullcote
from Testors. I have never used this before, any tips from anyone?
What´s the best thinner?
See you tomorrow,
Paul

Good to see you're back in business Paul!
Yeah, will have to take it cautiously especially since its close to finish.
Better check on the Painting sub-forum if you have not used Dullcote as yet. I recall some recent threads on that. I am a Future user be it gloss, matte, or dead flat finish. I have to make full use of my hoard following a buying spree following news that Future will be taken off the shelves!
Cheers,
Tat

Hi everyone. Nice to see that even OOB old kits can look so good.
Rob, that's a nice looking bird you have there. Very nice work on the camo.
Mike, now that is one nice ("not fancy" you say? ) looking cockpit! Waiting to see more!
Tat, you are going for a veteran i see.
Paul, paintjob No 3 looks really good. Good to see that the details weren't lost due to all the repainting! Good work.
After a very easy assembly of the kit, (i admit i'm impressed with this kit), it is ready for some paint. Hopefully i'll do that tomorrow.

Got some more painting done.
Touched up the camo a bit and almost finished the stores, I am about to put a gloss coat on.
Cheers Rob.

Thanks for the comment John.
I always start with the serious intent of having a not-too-obviously-weathered AFV as the pros do. Its a problem for me when to stop, as I'd say maybe a bit more here or there. I guess I'm a natural for the dirty, grungy-look finish!
That's a mean looking Sherman. I sure wouldn't want to be at the business end of it!
Cheers,
Tat

Yes, I also have to get 'cracking' on this Canpaign.
Some nice progress/finished projects being presented from the paleotologists!
Rob- Thanks for the Wirewheel link! And great work on the old Revell Eagle, very clean build I like it.
Brent- Looking forward to how you paint your 'Cambrian' jet!
Neil- Also nice job on the F16.
Tat- Good job on your Brummbar, very colorful.
Irv- Stuarts are my favorite US Light Tank, those look like they'll paint up nice.
Alex- PzII came out great, and also the Bergepanzer.
AJB- Good 'old' Hasegawa in 1/72? I have more than a few in the stash. Cool lil kits.
Steph- Your Bren looks great, good job on that.
Van- I really enjoy the Weird-Oh kit, I might I have to dig out one I have in my stash!
Paul- Beautiful Hetzer, really like how it turned out.I think it was worth the 'extra' effort.
As long as the beer went inside the right place...
Mike- The B25 is really coming along, very nice for "nuthin fancy" Looking forward to your painting it up.
John- Cool Sherman, that came out nice and clean.
Finally got some time for this one, hope to get it primered this week
Cheers Dave

@John: that has to be record time there, and looking good . That must have been rocket fuel with Zippero
(Τσίπουρο) in it .
@Rob: I can´t wait to see the decals and stores go into
place
@Dave: are you gonna have enough time, there´s 15 days to
go . I like the weldbead, looks great
@Lap Man: same goes for you too, are you going to have enough time?
Hey guys, let me know if you need extra time. I don´t want
you rushing things and ending up with a major desaster
Cheers

I masked and painted the bare metal sections of the fuse.
After everything was masked I sprayed a clear coat around the edges of the mask to seal and help to keep the paint from bleeding under. then a coat of MM non buffing aluminum was sprayed on.
Cheers Rob.

Steph: Thankyou for playing with us and a nice job the Bren Carrier is too , yet another great example of what can be done with these golden oldies
Rob: coming on great dude, and a cool tip there for stopping seepage thanks for sharing that.
Oh yes, nice looking socks too , where do you get them?
Well I call this one done, and you can all have another laugh , as I have lost the remote MG from the casematt
roof.
Final paint job:

What a tough build, Paul. Seems like this one fought you all the way. Glad you stuck with it and get it finished. Great job.
I have made some more progress on my Matchbox Havoc. A great little kit that goes together great, but of course with soft details.
More to follow
