I see just what you mean Thanks a lot mate! Your T is just fabulous man, it was an inspiration.

I took an old base for fun...I think I`m pretty close to the finish line here.

Bases can be a pain in the ass tbh,

You need to create contrast, so if the model is painted light (ie sand) go for a dark base, if the model is dark (greens, grays) go for a light base.

But it does somewhat depend on your groundwork as well, because you need contrast with that as well.

But the main thing with a base is - don't distract from the model, the base is just a base, the model is the primary focus, unless of course your doing a Dio (an artform in itself tbh)

Thx for the input Matt! It is a simple base indeed Just to put it on something else than the shelf! I`m working on a more evolved base, lets say a semi-dio for my kv-1 ehkranami. It is going sloooow but steady.

Thx again Mate.

@asmodeuss – Philippe,

I know I’m late to reply here, you know why, so here goes - that is some magnificent work you pulled off! You keep getting better and better with each build. Excellent and realistic looking vehicle, gott’a love the weathering, it looks true to the real deal steel machines in the photographs of them playing in the playground. The base really sets it off! NICE, looks right at home on the dirt, hihi.

Philippe, you’ve already managed a nice workstation there, even if it’s not yet complete. Can’t wait till I finally get a chance to get my workstation up in the new place, will use your example as inspiration to set mine up!
