Hi Richard,
I don't see why not, welcome on board.

Paul

Thanks Paul.
It's going to require a lot of scratching, but that's the fun part.

Hi

Quick bit of clarification. Does the vehicle have to be in a desert camouflage to be acceptable?

I'm interested in building something from the U.S 1st AD in Tunisia, but that's just going to be straight olive drab.

Excited to join this build group one way or another.

Although I was fixed on building a Sho't Centurion for this campaign I recently went to the Panzer Museum in Munster, Germany and they have a Merkava Mk I on display which is one beautiful looking machine. So I am back to square one deciding what I want to build.

Hi Paul, i'd like to ask if a Syrian T 72AV is ok. I have the Minihobby T 72B with ERA, (i know the kit leaves a lot to be desired, especially on the turret, but with some extra work i think it will be up to the task) and a Voyager ERA bricks set to go with it, i plan to try and build something like this. If this is a go i'm in....

My friend John, hello to you. Yes you can do that but only if you do the torn rubber skirts and that pile of rubble on the rear deck

No seriously, yes I'll accept that, Syria has some desert in there so it's o.k.

Welcome on board

Thomas welcome on board

Alex the RSOV is also a nice choice, maybe you can Pink Panther
afterwards. At the speed you build it should be no problem

Matt I'm glad everything worked out right

I'm in Paul.

I'm also especially happy you included this rule:

4."What if's" are welcome, but they must be desertised

Hopefully more campaign leaders are as accommodating as you. I think modelling skills are modelling skills, and whether they are shared and displayed on something real, or something that might-have-been, is moot.

Hi all

I just enlisted for this campaign

I have a Sd.Kfz7/1 2cm Flakvierling 38 with armoured cab in my stash (it's the Dragon 6533). Now my guess is that the armoured cab variant made its first appearance in Normandy/Eastern front, and not in North Africa????

Any info on what year this first saw action would be gratefully received. If it's technically possible that it was in Tunisia for example I may well use it for this campaign.

P.s. I know there's a Flak campaign, but I can't live with the timescales for that.

Many thanks

Hi John, great choices there Or are you secretly planning a second run at the Israeli campaign
If so, then you can count me in

Sal, hi there long time no see my friend What have you been up to?
I'm also sure that have something in your stash apart from those figures . Although they will be perfectly fine on their own

Andy I'm afraid that the time scale doesn't fit The DAK "left" Africa in June 43, and the armoured cab for your vehicle came in late 43. But let me just check the rules and regs:-

The Rules and Regs
1.Any Scale
2.Any Nationality
3.Any Vehicle / Aircraft.
4."What if's" are welcome, but they must be desertised
5.No started kits
6.A minimum of 5 progress pics on the thread and 2 in the gallery
7.Have fun, and don't get in sweat.

Oh, there's a surprise rule #4 , so if you wish you can do it, and add some DAK add-ons and say it's in June 46 or whatever

Thanks Paul. I searched the interweb for a good hour, but I couldn't find that little gem of info - thanks bud. I'm not adverse to a bit of artistic licence, but i think that historical inaccuracy will niggle me. I will invest in a suitable Stug D or a halftrack.

Thanks again

Hi all,

i'm in with an Trumpeter T-62 BDD, somewhere in Afghanistan in the late '80. I'm more convinced to OOB builds, but some AM stuff may be possible.
