Nice work John.
I got a decal set last week at Perth show for my build. And a nice 4x4 to put them on.

Nice job, John! That's a very "special" looking little vehicle, indeed

Looking forward to seeing it painted.
Cheers,
Cristian

Nice entry alex!
I´m also currently working on the trumpeter kit. It´s a very nice kit, but some important parts are missing to build a Fennek deployed to Minusma Mission in Mali.
I´m scratchbuilding the slat protection for the windshield (all Fenneks in Mali had that mounted), the ammunition racks on both sides and also the two anti-tank-missile-tubes on the rear deck.
Hope to see some pictures of your progress soon ... have fun.
Cheers,
Walter

I hope to build the same machine in1/72 scale. I think I have all the AM parts needed to finish it off.

Thank you Walter.
I found a nice walkaround of a fennek with slat armor.

Some progress.
I thought of turning front wheels for more dynamism. No difficulty at this stage.

Wow that's a quick build even for such a small vehicle!

Wife is recovering from an operation so I had two days of sitting around the house looking after her, otherwise sitting at the modelling desk. The kit did go together a breeze.

Started a twin build of a BTR-70 and BTR-80. The BTR-80 will be in UN livery while the 70 is for the 8x8 campaign.

Thank you all for the comments. The AML proved to be a bigger beast to deal with that I thought. With 15 year old resin kits I kinda knew what I was getting myself into. It was not a simple build.
The PE latches are now on all four storage bins along the rear fenders, and the two PSP plates were joined together with proper looking nut/bolt/shims. Now I have to figure out how to tie them down...maybe adding a jerry can and a ammo box attached to the plates. Decisions, decisions!
Oh yea...the action in this video is still on my bucket list!

Progress is being made on the BTR-70
Relatively quick build OOB, but the coats of white paint gave me some serious trouble.

Hi,
Looks awesome, Shawn.
I start my kit, late BRDM-2 for UN (white)

These pics are good ideas to me. Thanks to unknown photographers for this.

Your AUF-1 howitzer is also a nice choice. I try to simulate your weathering.

Thank you. I had to identify interior colors. Trumpeter instructions are totally wrong on this point.
