Thanks for the advice. I already noticed it is a bit thick. So I intend to use some thinner prior to applying it.

Concerning the French participation in the Korean war it was known as Bataillon de Corée and the unit crest featured the UN crest so I guess it could be OK for the campaign.

My Lince got the various headlights and is ready for the weathering stage. I tried the Tamiya wash but with no success. I think the product is too thick and must be diluted before the application.

I used it with the applicator, with some practice and a good gloss coat i think it's good for blacklining, a little too thick for pinwashing.

Raphael, beautiful build. Love the weathering. It is very difficult to weather white vehicles!

A small suggestion. The flag looks too straight and uncrumbled. If you made it from paper, you can crumble it up with your fingers and soak it in water with a bit of white glue. Then you can hang it as you want tand let it dry. It will look more realistic.

@Olivier: Nice progress on yours, as well. This is going to look SOO good once finished.

Finally the upper and lower hull can be glued together. The rear is a resin part from DEF, nicely detailed but with massive warping. Under hot water I got it in better shape to fit the academy parts.



To do a cast armour texture MR. Surfacer 500 was dabbed on the model with an old brush.







The model has fitted the Combat Dozer Blade. It´s pretty heavy so the front of the M60A3 looks somehow depressed. To achieve this on the model the bars were modified and adjusted correctly with a jig from the Tamiya Leclerc Model Kit.





Voila ...



Next Step was to add all the removed details to the front plate. Parts are from DEF and Legend upgrade Sets.



The cover for the power supply wiring to the Pearson Combat Dozer Blade was made from Evergreen Sheets. There is no good reference to scratch this correctly. So I did my own interpretation of the UN image ;-)

Thankx guys for your comments and interest. I hope I do not bother you with my frequent updates.

Due to bad weather here in austria today I could spent a nice amount of time for modelling.
I did some detailwork on the aircleaner with a new hexagonal punch&die set from RP Toolz. Nice Tool indeed.



Here are all the small parts which will now be glued on to the hull.





To master all the fiddly glue work I use a homemade glueing tool. This "high-tech-tool" is made from thin wire, a shortened medical needle and the handle from an old brush ;-)



And after an hour of focused gluework the rear is now finisched.



The PE mud guards were a little bit fractious but after annealing them with a lighter I could bend them in shape.

... and thats all for today.

The hull is now completed and I will start working on the turret soon.

I applied some dried mud on the lower hull of the Lince. It's close to completion. I still have to deal with the tires.

Alex, the wheels are from Djiti. This was a special cast. I don't think he has them in his range.

Looks cool, Walter! Can't wait to see how that cast iron texture will look like after the paint is on. Also, great idea on the glue application tool!

Great job as always, Olivier! I like how the weathering is coming along. I hope you don't mind me mentioning this but I think the mud could use some color variation with a second, darker color. Also, the edges, specially on the right side look a bit too regular. Though, it might be the only angle.

I'll add a different shade of mud. I try not to overdo the weathering as the Lince I saw in flesh were not filthy at all. It seemed their crews wanted to keep them as clean as possible. Could have been Italians from the Italy-Switzerland border

No rust was applied Cristian. Maybe the shade of brown I used was a bit too red.

yep Olivier ... looks much better now with a second dirt color.

Thanks Walter. It always hard for me to create subtle effects as I'm color blind !! Too often, when I start seeing the variations in the shades, it's too late and overdone

Don't worry, I can live with it. It often makes my wife laugh when I call her to tell me if the colors look OK.

The most annoying can be my colors association when I dress. It could turn a bit flashy if SWMBO is not here to fix things
