Just putting a proposal out there. The United Nations was established 70 years ago next year and perhaps to recognise this a campaign showing any vehicles in UN livery.

Not a bad idea at all. There is plenty room for a modeler to choose his project. I just fear the overall white will turn boring in the end of the campaign This will be a true challenge for our painting skills.

I like this idea but I have nothing in the stash so can anybody advise what kits offer U.N. markings or give a list of vehicles that the U.N? Has used

Ok why not, I think I'd like to go for a Belgique Leopard 1A? in Kosovo or maybe a T80.. or a Warrior or a BMP, or a LeClerc, or a Ferret, or an M113 or a Scimitar or.......
Sal, Trumpeters´ Canadian Cougar is nice and fast build, the decals are also included.
The same goes for the AFV Club Scimitar

Revell's 1/35 BTR-70 kit has a markings option for a Pakistani vehicle UNPROFOR, Bosnia-Herzigowina 1995.
Tamiya's old modern AFV decal sheet has some generic UN markings on it.

Great choice The new Echelon decals sheet is a must have for your project. Don't use the fuel drums as they haven't been fitted in Lebanon.

Just as a side-note, since somebody mentioned that UN vehicles would mainly be painted in all-white.
There are examples of UN vehicles in cammo pattern:
* Australian M113's in East Timor (and perhaps also Rwanda or Somalia, I can't recall).
* Swedish M8 Greyhounds, M3 Scout cars, M113's and various other vehicles in the Congo during the early 1960's (check out the new decal sheet from Star Decals for inspiration).
There are probably many more examples of cammo-painted UN vehicles for those who don't want to do white ones.. :-)

The Revell 4x4 5ton MAN has UN decals. If you can find one on the web, in combination with the Eduard etch set ( 5 and 7 ton will fit) produces a fine model.
I just finished my MAN a month ago, too early for this campaign......

Absolutely, the majority of UN vehicles are of course white, with very few exceptions :-)

I must search through my archives but I'm sure I have pictures of three-tone camoed vehicles with large white stickers with black UN letters.
Don't forget the Korea War, it was "UN-led", at least officially.

Don't overlook VABs. I used the UN decals from the Revell BTR-70 on a Heller VAB to make a UN version.
Here's a Wikipedia link for UN Peacekeeping Operations. There's links to the various missions. I figure it might help some in coming up with ideas.
