I better say I am done. I cleaned up what I could from my first application of the pigments. I am afraid if I keep poking at this thing it might get worse so good or bad, I am chalking this one up as D O N E. For campaign purposes just need to confirm where I upload the finished pic of it.
Next I will upload and post some pics of another one of my projects that ended up in my (what I call) ' The Display Case of Procrastination'. It will be the CMK Pz.Kpfw 35(t).
Cheers

Todays Flattie update -
Added a piece at the stem as I didn't think there was enough glue area there.
With the new stem piece faired in, next was the two side hull panels. went on pretty well.
After having a cup of coffee to let the glue kick well, I faired in all the panel edges at the stem, stern, top edge and at the chines.
Now it's ready for the bottom planking.

Little wood flattie update 2-16-15
Eased the edges of the bottom planks so they fit to the keel. Installed both planks.
Faired the plank edges to the stern and side planks.
Installed the chafing planks on both sides of the keel, fitted to the plank angle.
Made and installed the rough keel post.
Faired in the keel post, made and installed the stern post too.
The bench is getting messy, so I'll clean it up a bit.
The easy stuff is done. The rough in crew is done and the painters and trim crew are up next. I'll put a couple coats of sanding sealer on it, smoothing it out and ready for paint.
Now comes the fiddly stuff, trim, deck items, do da's, sails and rigging. The work slows down a bit, but I'm pleased with the look so far.

Well done Robbie, that Pak looks very nice!
Great to see some people finishing already but I haven't even got to start (or should that be re-start) mine yet....
It's the Trumpeter 1/350 USS Independance LCS (Littoral Combat Ship). It was also my entry in UB14 but I just got to add some more decals last year
Still lots of PE to be done....it's so delicate at that scale...and adding all the fragile parts and then weathering

Hi guys,
here is my entry for this campaign, HobbyBoss Leopard 2A6M CAN. It includes Perfect Scale Modellbau update kit and Trumpeter track set.
I've been on it about 2 years now, so it's time for it to join my display case! :-)
The build is pretty much done. I will install the running gear so I can weather it and then install the sideskirts.
Cheers,
Christian

I mostly post over on AutoModeler, but I found this Campaign & I fugured it would be perfect to help clean off the "Shelf of Shame" as our Campaign Leader calls it.
Anyway, I started the Revell of Germany 1/25 Kenworth W900 back in December 2010, and I stalled out back in September 2011. This is as far as I've gotten.
Rolling frame:
Engine Close-up:
Interior:
I'll post somemore progress pics later, but I finially managed to get the cab, hood & sleeper painted, and the hood mounted.
Here's hoping for progress!

Another "different" entry there Jim: welcome to the campaign.
I don't know much about truck kits but that cab looks nice and detailed. Are all those dials and gauges painted or decals?

Thanks for the welcome!
Oh, no, I'm not THAT good! In the Revell of Germany, Italeri, & Moebius kits, there is a dash decal with all of the gages & whatnot. In this particular kit, the dash decal also includes the wood grain. The only thing painted on the dash are the red, yellow (partially covered by the steering wheel), & blue airbrake valves.

all,
An interesting collection of models to be seen here.
Due to a slight "problem" with my scratch build project I've decided to shelve it for a while and make a restart on a 'quickie' here .
This is what has been sitting in a box for about 2 years now (forgotten about) :
Started life as one of these:
and this is what the final product is/was meant to be:
Time to warm-up the grinder and drop a fresh blade in the jeweler's saw. Will pop in occasionally to update if it looks worthwhile .
Cheers for having a looksie

guy's,
Brent - hopefully this shouldn't be too involved - first proper bash in the mid-scales so hopefully not too painful .
Jim - scale is 1/50th, the donor being a Norscot product I picked up ultra-cheap (no box, slight damage).
Sean - weak but .

Hello all,
I have a 120mm scale Firing Line figure depicting a British Para from Operation Corporate. I've assembled this around 2001 and primed it recently. Would this qualify for this campaign?
Hopefully, with this campaign, I can move this from the WIP shelf to a display shelf. Let me know.
Joseph

Little wood flattie update.
The hull and superstructure done and painted. Looks pretty good I think.
The sticks for the mast, boom and gaff.
The sticks - tapered, drilled for rigging, stained and varnished.
Some do da's pre-assembled and stained and varnished.
Trim pieces and toe rails, Samson post, rudder ( I made the tiller out of walnut for looks), centerboard, companionway door and hatch, coaming trim.
Will put a coat of clear gloss on this stuff tomorrow, the, ready to trim this little baby out. So far, I havn't even broken a stick.

Looks like this is going to be an interesting campaign, many unconventional subjects, many interesting builds, so good luck to everyone!
@Brent
Love your small panzers, have a soft spot for the Sd.Kfz. 251 and your work is really great!
@Miloslav
Excellent Panther, with the kind of paintjob I'm trying to achieve on my own models but have been falling short so far. Maybe some day I'll make it ))
For this campaign I'm entering a Dragon Pz.II F. Started work on it last autumn, reopened the box in February, but due to a number of reasons couldn't post photos earlier.
So here it is, the build at the start of the campaign, not much progress at the moment, but maybe I'll manage something in the coming days
