Smart phones usually come with a photo editing application. I am a long time user of Photoshop and was surprised to find I could color correct and crop on my phone. Then I upload it to Dropbox so I can put it directly into Photo bucket.

No more convoluted than developing photos and getting print copies for every person I want to give pictures to. Then high-res images or proofs for printing? I push a button and it's loaded. I move a mouse it's cropped. Gotta love computers.

I had no idea that my smart phone could edit images. I would never WANT to do this as the teenie-tiny screen would never show my olde eyes enough to attempt it. I like to throw the images up on the Cinema Display and have a good look.

I sure have to agree with you about computers helping photography. I used to spend evenings in the darkroom trying to get the prints to look the way I thought they should. Each change need a new test strip and color printing paper was very dear. Now I can do the same job in minutes in Photoshop and only print (or post) when the project is completely ready.

Karl - I agree that the process of posting pictures is convoluted. It is also very common with these online forums. The good part is that once you get used to it, it becomes a matter of routine. Hang in there, learn the drill and soon you will be sharing your work for everyone to enjoy.

That M60 has a short cannon, what is it?

I changed my mind from building a modified E-100, rather, I will be building the KV-220.

I like that Trumpeter is giving some attention to the little known/ paper panzers from both the Germans and Soviets. This KV-220 is a monster of a tank and the one prototype actually did see some combat (where it was lost)

I do not know this vehicle. Was it a standard KV hull with a big gun or something special made just for the KV-122?

The KV-220 had a longer KV-1 hull with a larger turret for the 85mm (And a funny secondary turret), not "too" modified past that, from what I know.
As for the 'readyness', I might be a bit late to start on the campaign. I've got a Merkava 3 BAZ that's been on my desk for almost 2 months now, and I prefer not to work on more than one kit at a time.
And I (finally) looked at the PE in that M60A1, not sure I feel like trying that yet... I'm probably just going to pick up a B1 for the campaign now, lol.

Thanks for the details on the KV-220. That sounds like one I might have to get at some point. No hurry at all on this campaign. We have 9 or 10 months to builds, plenty of time. I have been eying that Meng Char and may have to build a second Landship for this campaign. These projects do get under your skin . . .

What a size difference. The Hotchkiss looks positively tiny. I'm doing the Polish tankettes for the Poland 1939 campaign and I still can't see how they expected two guys to sit inside with the hatches closed.

Also, I'm sadly forced to say I'm stuck waiting a few weeks to join the campaign. Been in the hospital for a week, got a somewhat bad diagnosis, and I'm basically unable to even consider working untill im feeling better in a week or two, liable to take care of many things aftrr that, and then I'll be back into modelling.
But oh well, I live, and my life will be 99% normal after I recover (Nothing worse than learning prevetitive measures), so dont worry about me!

No hurry starting this one, it goes well into 2017. Take your time, get well and join us when you are ready. There is nothing here as important as safeguarding your health.

As to weathering on the KV-5, I started with some assumptions. This design was put on the shelf when the factory was moved in advance of the German invasion. My paper panzerski started with the fiction that Stalin ordered the project resumed in preparation for the summer offensive that came to be known as the Battle of Kursk to oppose the Panthers & Tigers the Soviets knew to be coming.

I assumed the KV-5 was rushed into production with little development, little trial and very little crew training in advance. The vehicles would have been built, shipped directly to the staging areas and given hurried preparation by the crews assigned to them. They would be dirty, oily from breakdown repair but not damaged or rusted much.

I started with Tamiya rattlecan Olive Drab #2. I lightened the top surfaces slightly with a pale yellow oil. The paint was dirtied with MIG streaking grimes & washes. In areas where the crew was not likely to have rubbed against it much it still has a slight gloss.

The undercarriage was dirtied with MIG Kursk Soil over a dark brown wash. I mixed several pigments to get one that matched the MIG Kursk Soil wash and dusted to tank in places where dust was likely to accumulate.

I just realized that I never declared what I'd chosen to build. I'll be doing the Amusing Hobby's 1/35 Neubaufahrzeug. Just finishing up some odd bits: some resin AM additions to my St. Chamond, a couple of figures from previous builds, etc. Really looking forward to this. It'll be my first campaign, so there'll be some foulups on the way, no doubt! As always I'm curious about what the many talented members here will be doing (and whatever tips and techniques I can appropriate for my own!).
