Good progress there Mark
Nice choice Guy. I have built that kit and it goes together like a dream. Just like a Tamiya build, but with more parts

Michael, nearly 700 parts in aircraft model, even 1/32nd scale! There must be an awful lot of hidden detail on the interior parts - or do you build the engines up just like the real thing?
Rules are land based or Hybrid..... so what does hybrid mean exactly? The B17 rolls along the runway, sits on its undercarriage most of the time, spends a few hours in the air then sits around again with some mechanics crawling over and in it.. hybrid?.....I would ask for ruling

Guy,
Nice looking Panzer III, which kit is that? It looks like a Dragon kit to me.

It is the Dragon kit. The big red lizard has its flaws but I really like their Panzer 3 and Stug 3 kits. I am a geographic bachelor for a couple days so I see a lot of progress in the next few days!

Major assembly is now complete. Will get out the airbrush now and start spraying.
Turret basket, which will be hidden when completed.
Turret
Coupela vision block. Will install after painting.
Turret Assy
Rear completed
Front complete with add-on armor. The one vertical plate has been fixed after I noticed it wasn't installed correctly in the picture.

@Mark, really liking that PZ IV!
I've gotten a lot of work done, but only taken limited pictures. All the wheels and sprockets are done. I clean up the road wheels on the sprues and then paint. I just find it easier that way.

Thanks Guy. Looking forward to watching your build.
Now its time to solve the problem of fitting the wheels to the axles. I have come up with a solution that seems to work.
I decided to take some .3mm rod
Glue it inside the wheel.
Cut to length (circled)
Glue another on opposite side. (both circled)
Now the wheel fits tightly on the axle. Only 15 more to do.

Shims for correcting sloppy fit of wheels to axles.
I think you should upgrade the solution to three strips/shims in each wheel.
Only two shims allows for movement and misalignment, movement perpendicular to the shims and tilting. If the shims are a 9 and 3 o'clock the wheel could move up/down & tilt around a horizontal axle, shims at 12 and 6 o'clock allows movement rear/front & tilt around a vertical axle (like a steering wheel).

Robin,
Good suggestion. I'll add a third shim.

It would be really interesting to follow the B-17 build in 1/32nd
I would support a relaxation of the rules
Compare with this multi million soil cultivator:

The same pilot was yanking the stick in the second crash were only blind luck saved a lot of people from getting crushed by a plane.

I have the same issue but with floaty things. Lots of parts in those though I suppose they do get Dry-Docked which means land

Thanks for the support, guys! I've proposed a bomber campaign over on AeroScale and hope that will get enough interest to do the Fortress there. Looks like you sure have some great progress going here without me!

I don't have any drawings or plans to facilitate a build but this vessel would be perfect.
Small steamer/sloop with railroad wheels powered by the steam engine. It trafficated some lakes where there was small rapids connecting two of the lakes. The powered wheels made it possible to pretend to be a steam engine and bypass the rapids on railroad tracks. Rapids/Falls are in the background.

Lot's more done. The hull and fenders are complete.
I was very happy with the exhaust/smoke grenade area. Everything fit really well and the PE screens gave me zero issues.

Yes thanks for posting this Robin. Very Interesting... and great ingenuity on their behalf. Kind of like a Landswasserschlepper on rails!

Got the back deck and upper hull done. Some mess with the glue I need to clean up!

Guy,
Coming along nicely. Those fiberglass brushes really do a nice job of removing the glue. Mind gets a lot of use.

Sorry for dropping out for so long! I have a couple of very busy days.
I see some really nice progress has been done in the mean time Congrats to everyone!
Concerning the rules, these have been re-worded to allow planes and ships, as well. Looking forward to seeing some of those being built, too

The basecoat has been applied. I used AK704 RAL 7021 Dunkelgrau. Now time to deal with the tools.
Hard to tell in the pic, but the hard rubber is painted with AK720, Rubber Tire

More progress to post; The Turret is done.
The track is on. All road wheels, track runs, sprockets and idlers are dry fit and can slide off for painting. The inner halves of the 3 return rollers are glued in place. All the major components such as the back deck and upper hull dry fit
