Hello,
Since the current 750+ campaign is getting close to its finish date, I was thinking about a possible follow-up.
This campaign is about building those larger kits that keep being pushed back in the stash simply because of their overwhelming part count. It's time to finally build them and let them draw all the envy when presented at shows, exhibitions or contests!
The Rules and Regs
1. Part count of 500 or more
- decals are not counted
- parts for different variants not part of the build are not counted
- AM parts are counted if placed on the vehicle
- scratch-built parts are counted as sensible sub-components (e.g single rivets are not counted but riveted panels as a whole do)
2. Any land or hybrid vehicle, any scale, any era
3. Partially started kits ARE allowed provided they are not more then 50% finished
4. Building can be started if these are less than 50% finished on the official start date
5. Posting your builds in other campaigns IS allowed (I never understood why this should not be allowed in the first place)
5. You must upload an image of the kit before starting as an evidence of its completeness state along with evidence of the date the image was taken on (newspaper of the day, website with the current date, a piece of paper with the date on it, etc)
6. At least two WIP photos (the more, the better) need to be uploaded along with the finished piece appearing in the campaign gallery. Separate building blogs or threads are welcome and encouraged.
7. Definition of a finished model: the model that has been completely assembled and painted (weathering is optional).
Anyone interested?

I want in. Even though I don't have much time anymore, maybe if I start on time it'll go better.

Great, Dustin!
We probably won't start before September and it'll run for at least 9 months so there's plenty of time.

Cristian,
I would be interested. I'd have to start late due to ongoing commitment but I hope to be able to fit this in.

Welcome, Paul! No worries, we are not even sure when it will start.
Speaking of which, I was thinking about a start date end of September with a duration of 9 months. What do you all think?
This makes for five of us (six with myself) so far. We need five more and it can be sent in for approval.

I have no problem with the start time but would prefer 12 months duration. Hopefully that would allow me time to complete even with the overly full schedule I have right now. Never the less, I will try to complete in whatever time is agreed upon.

@Paul: We had a discussion about the duration for - I think! - the 500+ campaign and someone pointed out that anything beyond 9 month will lead to people loosing interest in their builds. Nonetheless, I'm find with 12 month, as well. Gives me also more time to start and finish
So here it is again:
- start in September 2017
- duration 9-12 months
@Raj: Welcome!

I'll join with Trumpeter's Sd.Kfz.7 KM m11 (late version). This one could even have been in the 750+ campaign...

Welcome Paul and Richard!
This makes for nine people interested in this campaign, beside myself. We need one more and we are good to go for the proposal!

Hi Christian,
I would like to join if that is okay, I am new to this site and never participated in a campaign before so would like to give it a go.
I was planning on building Tamiya's 1/35 "Easy Eight" Sherman and according to the in box review on this site it has 662 parts however that includes the individual tank tracks, if you take those away it goes down to 350 parts.
Do I qualify looking at the parts list?
Mike

Welcome to Armorama and to this campaign, Mike! Glad to have you join!
If you are going to use the single link tracks to build the kit then those count towards the total part number so, you are fine for this campaign.
As a general rule, 500+ applies to all single components added to the final model. If each track link has, say 3 parts and you have 200 links, it would be 3x200 = 600 parts for the tracks alone.
I hope this makes sense but let me know in case you have further questions!
Cheers,
Cristian
