Simple build or not, looks good Richard.
Nice work so far Jerry. Love the camo choice.

Thanks a lot, Peter. What attracted me to this camo pattern for the UD is that it‘s only two-tone - almost all Soviet/Russian camo from this era is three-tone with the black “crow‘s feet“, so this is a nice difference.
Cool Abrams, Jose!

I ended up with my project in the campaign.
It was a long process, but I managed to get in time.
Here's the final photos.

However, it was a pleasure to participate in the campaign.
With respect!

Hi Jbranca,
Very nice camo painting. What technique did you use to make so clean and direct separation between the colours?

Richard, your T-72 is coming along nicely.
Hi Tamas,
Thank you! To delineate the edges, I used this:

Using it was more problematic than usual because of the really hot weather we were having a few weeks ago (I expect it was the same in Hungary). When I was painting the yellow-grey parts, I applied the putty in the evening so I could paint it the next evening after work.
But when I looked at it again, it had gotten so hot in the apartment (we live right under the roof in our building), that the putty had become liquid and expanded, sticking the hull, turret and side skirts to my desk and obliterating the contours I had so carefully applied the night before.
A few more hours were required to adjust the contours, and then I sprayed it, but then removing the putty was a huge chore, because it had flowed into all the nooks and crannies in the tank and it literally swallowed up a few small parts that broke off and I never recovered. I had to replace them from the spares box, or scratch them, etc.
In short, it turned out well enough, but was a royal pain...but all‘s well that ends well, as the man said.

Hi Michael,
Thank you! And don‘t worry about getting bogged down - that seems to be my middle name this year.
And Kalin, I love the T-55 - that‘s a nice clean build.
Well, I‘m calling my T-80UD done:

Happy modeling, everyone!

Hi Jerry,
Thank you for the info, I have not heard about this material so far. Will try to get somehow as there are some projects where I will need to paint very clean borders between different colours.
The final model looks nice with the weathering.

Kalin and Tamas, thanks a lot! And Tamas, I didn‘t want to create the impression that the Panzer Putty isn’t any good - it works well if it‘s not too warm. But even then if you use just a little bit and spray paint right away, it should work fine.

Applied base color to my Tiran. It's a little too Smurfy in color. I will try to lighten it up some more. Then, I'll apply camo.

Yup, that's what I meant when I said it is "a little too Smurfy".

You might consider mixing a very thin batch of white (mostly thinner) and misting it on Joseph, letting the blue show through. You can keep putting very thin transparent layers on until you are happy with the color. This will let you vary the color in different areas to get a more weathered look if you like. Try it on something else first though, to get the hang of it.

I like that. I might give it a try. Thanks very much, John!

Like I said, try it on something else first, I have never tried this myself! I have heard of other people doing it, you might have to experiment a little with the ratios. Since the layers should be extremely thin you shouldn't loose any detail like you might with a complete second coat.

I doubt I'll be able to finish. The modeling mojo has vanished. Good luck to everyone else.

I tried it last night. It seems to have toned down the blue a little bit. I won't worry about it because I'll be weathering it after application of the camo.

Can you post some photos, I'd love to see it before the weathering?
