Excellent Lap Man. A very striking paint scheme. Another wonderful build for your collection.

Very nicely done Stephen. Looks like you got those turret decals to behave.

Hi Lap Man,

That looks great! Did you masked off and airbrushed the black outlines? Or did you hand painted them?

Hi Stephen,

Your Panzer II came out well. I have yet to tackle a Panzer Gray colored tank. I hope mine will turn out as good as yours.

Thanks,

Joseph

Hi Joseph,
After airbrush the camo, I use ZEBRA marker to draw the black outline, easy to handle and it works fine.

We're getting close to the gong on this campaign, how are we doing for time? Is everyone going to be able to complete your models? Does anyone need any extra time?

I've been busy with my family and didn't get to work on my R35 as much as I wanted to. We were out of town last week, then tomorrow is Thanksgiving here. I have a 4 day weekend, but my wife is making plans already on putting up Christmas decorations, etc. Honeydo list...so, there it goes. I'll try to weather it some more but if worse comes to worse, I may end up posting an un-weathered but completely built and painted R35 on this campaign's gallery.

I could use a little extra; the Thanksgiving holiday here means more family time and less modeling time.

I'll be laying the third camo colour on the Char B1 bis tonight, but not sure if I will have it weathered in time.

I won't be ready on time.
My model is almost complete, but there is still a lot to do.
The interior is ready for paint. But it would also be useful to put some ammo into the left rack. The driver (body from Heller and head from Tamiya) is not finished yet.

You can see how cramped the interior is. Even my small Renault Clio is more roomy than his older brother.

I'm planing to paint it as this particular tank from the Polish 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade (the decals are provided by HB in r35 set ).
This tank has a latter upper body so I had to add bullet deflectors around engine covers and "cheeks" or rather "eyelids" over the driver's vision slits.

The tank commander is borrowed from Tamiya's Somua.

And the tracks are from modelkasten set that I had in my stock.

What was the decision re: extending the deadline? Even if it was only to tomorrow I would take it.

I haven't heard anything from the campaign leader. If he says to extend it then I can extend it up to December 31st.

Looking very sweet Marek. A lot of work so I can understand you wanting to take your time to do it justice.

Where I am up to.

I can safely say I could post in the gallery and call it done in time, but it needs weathering.

Started weathering one side and the tracks, which you can just see in this first pic....

Paul hasn't logged in for a few days now Richard. He has not been that frequent in the thread, even though he started it.

I am sure he would not have an issue extending the deadline though given the number of guys crawling to the line...

Marek, I missed your post when I requested for an extension. Your wip photos look amazing! Can’t wait to see more progress shots!

Nice looking Char you got there Peter! Because of you and Marek, the Char and R39 are fast becoming included in my want list!

Thanks guys, I had it in mind to apply for an extension but just hadn't gotten to it yet. As I mentioned before I'm involved in preparing for a long distance move and I have cleaning, sorting & packing rather than building. Most of my models & building supplies are already packed. I have hopes of getting one more build in before all will have to be boxed up.

We have had some exceptionally nice work here in honor of France 1940 which makes me think that a second campaign on the same theme might be worth trying. That will be next year after the move & unpacking . . .

Thanks Joseph. It really is a very nice kit - typical Tamiya shake n bake. It really does not need the etch set I got with it. I fitted the 4 lift posts to the fenders with the etch fittings, though few pics show them on the vehicle so you could get away without that. Replacing grab handles with wire, adding the missing pig's tail on the hull gun mount and maybe a bit of tape or etch for the tool stowage straps and that is really all it needs.

I did add casting numbers to various parts too.

Realized I never posted a first pic, so here it is plus an in-progress:

Just waiting for some paint time.
