I will go with either ribbon, they all look exceptional.

I've committed to a few others and I am not one to usually back out of something. I might have time to start during the middle of the build. I have a Tamiya Char B1 bis that has been in the stash for a while.. Aber etc set and 2 x RB barrel sets (forgot I already had one when I ordered another ) so not going to be standard Tamiya 'shake n bake' proposal

Peter, Ive built this kit twice in the past and had no problems. I keep a 5lb. sledge on the table to coerce those kits that are rowdy and need some discipline.

I have been working on a ribbon for the last week or so off & on as time & mental clarity allowed. I had in mind a simple French Tricolor with 1940 emblazoned on it and tried several permutations of type & color. I like the typestyle Peter used in his samples. It looks 1940 modern and is easy to read in a small size. The ribbon can only be 50 pixels across so that is important. Getting good definition in the small size across the three colors was another issue. I ended up using a gold color with a black border to help the date stand out. Here is what I came up with:

I was just looking over the huge number of great campaigns going on now or coming up in the next few months. I wish I had more building time!

I still have not decided what to build for this campaign. There are several armor kits that are good candidates and I would love to build a Curtiss Hawk 75 in French colors. Is there a good kit in 1/32 out?

Unfortunately all of my BEF subjects and French tanks are already in various stages of progress so that leaves me with this as my entry on 5/10.

Great choice Chris! I have the Dragon version somewhere in the stack and will be curious how Bronco version differs.

This campaign begins at dawn tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it. I'm still undecided what to build but its down to a short list now.

Tomas - Welcome aboard this campaign & Armorama. We're glad to have you here. The Hotchkiss is a great choice for this campaign, the French used a lot of them and they had a variety of interesting paint schemes. i look forward to seeing your progress pictures.

Zsolt - I love the early IIIs & IVs. I will be curious to see how the Tri-Star kits comes out. I built the ancient Tamiya kit a few years ago and it looks nice but is hardly up to modern standards. I'll be watching to see how it goes together.

My entry into the Campaign will be AFV Club's SdKfz 231 8-rad armored car. All armor needs at least one figure, so I've got some Dragon Panzer guys if I want to use some or all.

Hi All!
Loving this kit and here is a little WIP. Quite impressed by detail, fit, and plastic Quality. The black bits are nlyon/rubber, and the wheels are positionable though not really steerable.

The Frame and puting the drives together.


All four drives assembled.


Leaf springs added. Linkages come next. I think the only thing missing is wires and tubes and hoses.

Gary - Looking good so far. It looks to have a lot more detail than the old Tamiya kit.

Gary, that looks cool and nicely detailed so far. I'm curious how you will rate it at the end (details, user-friendlyness of engineering and manual, etc) as this eight-wheeler has been for long on my wish list

Hi Everyone,
The work continues! With well over 120 parts in the suspension alone, it was a bit of a grind getting here.

And Peter: The suspension is pose-able on both vertical and horizontal axis.



I wanted to have no trouble getting paint into the zones behind the tools, so I painted the fenders and fender wells.



Previously I roughened up the wheels with my dremel and one of the rough brushes that came with it.

The next step will be weathering the undersides before I put on the fenders. And that means lots of dust.
