Thanks Oliver, I did enjoy finishing this one off, I had some great times in it while stationed in Sennelager, they were great MBTs, and I do miss it .... but not changing the tracks lol.
Hopefully we can get a bit more action going here with some builds getting more work done on them and hopefully some builds of aircraft or ships ... fingers crossed and the more the better.
So, I have the Striker which I got from Andreas and after opening it up and having a look, i was very happy with it. Thankfully it didnt have any of the issues Petbat had with his Striker.
I was going to do it as an additional vehicle for this campaign, but I think time will be against me as I am in a few campaigns already and have a few looming. Also, I need to get a few more bits for it to make it as close to my old wagon as possible. So, I will building this as a separate build feature as I think its going to take a while.
There will be some additional work I have to go to to get the correct headlights and sponson fittings as per the one I was on, and will also have to get a PE set for it as I need the armoured headlight covers and a few other bits.
If you look in on this Peter, on your Striker, have you done the running gear yet ? I think this is the only real area that it lacks detail in. I do have a 95% complete donor CVRT from AFV that I am going to use for a few bits, and was thinking of trying to use the torsion bar arms and running gear from that on the Accurate armour hull ?? that will need looking at as I am not sure how much chopping that will require .....
Towards the end of this campaign, if people are struggling for time etc I will either contact Richard for an extension or option B will be to run a Golden Memories 2 and allow the partial unfinished builds into that to get them finished.

It took a while, but I'm back to my Golden Memories build again(R-142N Deymos).
Detailing the left-hand wall of radiomen compartment, I started with R-111 Antennae Feed Unit (САУ-1 Р-111 on the picture bellow):
.
This is how it looks like:
And here is my rendition (1.6x0.7x0.5 cm):
Next will be the T-219"Yachta" analogue voice scrambler:
Take care all!

T-219 "Yachta" Analogue Voice Scrambler is ready and temporarily attached to its frame:
Radiomen compartment is 90% done:
Next in line are the control units of ventilation and airconditioning systems,

Angel, every time I see more of your work it leaves me green with envy !!
It is amazing the amount of detail you create when you scratch these bits of Comm's gear ( not to mention the other things I have seen you scratch in other build forums) it really is a work of art... It must take you absolutely ages to do each bit.... I think I would crazy if I was doing it.
It is going to look fantastic, keep up the great and inspiring work.

After looking at the kit you've done for the radio wagon so far, there is one thing I do not envy.....
The amount of cable's you will have to put in place..... That's going to be epic !!

Thanks John!
It's immense fun building those tiny blocks, believe me
And with carefull planing what to do when it doesn't take so much time(AMOF the only time-eater is waiting for the glue/Mr.Surfacer 500 to set).
Yes, that cabling will be quite challenging!
But I found an ellegant solution- I build in 1/35th scale, so I'll divide the count of cables by 35 and thus achieve a gradual reduction of effort

Update on my build progress(R-142N):
I built some of the communication features in HQ compartment and added their wiring
Next I'll wire the equipment in the radio rack,

Totally agree with Peter. This is s joy to watch. Not only is there a great truck, but then you get the added bonus of the exquisitely detailed radio body and it's whole interior.... And if that wasn't enough.... It's all scratch built.
Every time I look at these updates you give us Angel, I am in awe...I wish I was even a tenth as skilled as you at scratch building.
If any extra time is needed, just say as I will get this extended.... This truck has to be built my friend...
Keep up the exceptional work...
Would the actual radio compartment be manned and at all times ? And if yes, with 1 or 2 operators ?.
Reminds me of times I spent in a back of a Sultan helping out with the radio stags when I was in our SHQ for a while.

Fred, on reflection I think you're right lol.... If the truth be told... I'm probably not even at the 1/100th !!!

Thanks Peter, John and Fred!
John,
to your questions- yes, the radiomen compartment would be manned by 2 radiomen in every occasion, when the KShtM is operational.I served in Border Guard Troops, where the KShtM's (we had 3 of them) were used quite rarely- mainly for combat readiness drills/alerts.Nevertheless we trained constantly in operating it- there was an instance, when we travelled 60 km, deployed the KShtM in a potatoe field and run its equipment for 72 hours.
Thanks also for your praising words about my scratchbuilding- I started 3 years ago and I'm still learning... and still finding challenges I cannot cope with...
I painted the radio rack and will (hopefully) instal some wiring tonight,

Update on my build progress:
1.Radiorack painted, some wiring installed:
2.Some additional features in HQ compartment built:
-Overcurrent Protection and External Power units
-Rack for R-809(Surface-to-Air communication-my KShtM lacked this radioset)
3. Built the M-125 "Fialka" encoding machine,
Will paint it tomorrow and fill the last empty space in my radiorack:
I intend to install couple of LED's in the box and because I was given 2 LED's for trial and error, I did some tests:
Based on the results, I decided to go for 4 LED's(2 in each compartment) and am currently running endurance test with a CR2032 Lithium Coin Cell.

Angel, words fail me. What your doing to this is an amazing level of dedication. It all looks superb. Those LEDs will add a whole new dimension and depth to it, and it will be great now that you can see inside with just the door open. Well done.
