John,
I would say-rename the thread.
Build campaign idea is too general and not attractive enough.
Not sure though who can change the name of the thread(Robin?Richard?), but it is worth asking them.
February to September is fine with me, but let's hear what other participants have to say.

What the heck, I'm in with??? Maybe the above mentioned bulldozer. This will also give me another chance at trying to post an image or 3. Not very computer literate and have failed, miserably, in past attempts.
What these builds do for me is force me to follow the rules and get something done. Lord knows how many shelf queens I have.
Good Luck !

I think you're right Angel, the name has to change for the thread, I will ask both of them as they have both helped me out in the past.
I think I can edit my original post so if I can, I will put the rules etc up in that one.
That dozer sounds great Ivanhoe, and a very personal back story. Thanks for sticking with us on this idea.

It's strange. I can admin some threads but not others. This is one that I can't so I guess we'll have to wait to Robin.

Guys, I have now edited my original post so it now shows the general rules/conditions and a time frame so it looks a bit more appealing to everyone when they first read it. And any advice to enhance it is welcome, but I dont want to stray to far away from the original build concept.
Angel, I adjusted it as you mentioned for the addition of close friends of modellers so that people like "PetBat" would benefit.

I wasn't in the military but I wish you luck with you campaign, I was thinking of possible names:
Yester-Years
Back in the Day
Glory Days (name from a Bruce Springsteen song, reminiscing about the past)
hope this helps

I changed the title of this thread to Golden Memories as requested by John (and added campaign idea to keep some connection/reference to the original name)
A gold coloured M113 as ribbon maybe?

Shame you cant join in with this one David, I am looking forward to the Tank destroyer party you are organising, there should be some good beasts getting put together on that one.
Does anyone think it would be a good idea to let the guys who like the flying things and floaty things ( ) know about this campaign to see if any of them have model they could join with ?? Just a thought ......

Thanks to Robin, a link to this has been sent to Aeroscale and Shipwrights so may get some more interest from those groups.
I am going to change end date to 01 Feb 2021 if campaign gets the required numbers.

I think in the spirit that this campaign is meant to represent .... then yes Oliver that would be allowed as long as it meets the other laid down rules. I would love to see a scratch build and hear the back story.

This sounds right up my alley. I just have to pick which of my tanks to build. Can anyone recommend a good photo posting site? I have not posted pictures in quite some time since Photobucket went wonky. I'm leaning toward an M60A1 or an A3. I drove A1s commanded A3s.

The vehicle I served on- and therefore I'll model here- needs a liberal amount of scratchbuilding too.

Looks like you've got your 10 willing participants.
Submit the campaign proposal on the campaign page and I'll get it approved and ready for enlistment.

Great! I have been in a modeling slump lately, video games partly to blame, but this is what I need to get back to the work bench.

Great John!
Thanks for your effort!
I will build the GAZ-66 Radiotruck, I was attached to in 1995-1996, while serving my tour of duty with the 5th. Border Detachment-Momchilgrad of Bulgarian Border Troops.
The vehicle is also known as KShtM R-142N Deymos, where KShtM(Komandno-Shtabnaya Mashina) stands for Command and HQ Vehicle.
I'll use one of Trumpeter's kits for the GAZ-66 and will scratchbuild the box(aka Kung), while also scratchbuilding the interior with all the radosets, power lines, umformers e.t.c.
