So I'm busted...

I'm a pet lover.I have 3 pets.
All female...

The first one is in her mid 20's(made me grandpa 2 years ago). When moving out she left me a big (Bratz) note cube for my hobby(I'm using it ever since...). She's like an Afghan Hound-tall, gracious and easygoing.

The second one is in her early 20's, has shown no interest for my hobby, but never misses a chance to pay a visit- providing I have cooked some meal.
I call her The-Always-Hungry-Teddy Bear...

And then I have a mid 40's blond Poodle

I too have pets.
Two male in their 30's.
A Great Dane and a German Shepherd. One that takes no rubbish from anyone, the other that is easy going and lets matters slide by when he can. Both left home several years ago and have no intention of having a litter of their own.

Another Male 20, that is a Rottweiler. He is a power lifter and all muscles. He only has to look at people and they leave him alone. (Under the tough looking exterior he is a pussy cat... He is also a 'chick magnet' - lucky boy)

...and an early 50's Bear... Menopause is a B**** enough said

I'm trying to post the opening picture to start this campaign, but can't seem to get the pic up. At the recommendation of some here to use Imgur instead of Photobucket. However I cannot seem to upload it. This is the perm link to the photo: http://imgur.com/gallery/mWiXf2h

I tried using the [img] function below and added the file extension. I tried .jpg, .jpeg, .gif and .png but still no success. Can anyone help please?

Try the following in Imgur:
1.Click on the picture, you want to share here.
2.Once it opens in a new screen, you'll see on its right side a panel with options and url's.
3.Click on the BBB option
4.Return to your post in Armorama, open it for editing, choose a place in the text body where you want your picture to appear, then click the right button of your mouse and select Paste. The URL should appear as text.
5.Save your post and the picture should be there.

This had worked for me always.

Hi everyone,
Finally kicking off with my Spahpanzer Luchs. The time I was able to devote to modelling was entirely given to the suspension. Interestingly, the kit uses real steel springs. You'll notice them in black. I didn't devote a lot of time to getting the parts perfectly clean. Once the wheels are on and it's right-side up, they'll be invisible.





I looked at the cannon barrel and wasn't overly impressed. So, I found one at BNA Modelworld and ordered it.

Nice Choice Johanan. Welcome aboard.

There is a lot of work in that so far Gaz. Pity most of it will not be seen. Wayne tells me that some of the parts they give you are so small they are near impossible to hold, so you have to glue them on then clean them up after the glue sets, but not cleaning them up if they are not seen works just as well.

The RB Model Barrel for the Luchs, which fits the Marder and Wiesel too, is very, very nice, if that is what you bought.

I think the barrel I bought was by Magic Models. I didn't find one in stock for RB. I always choose the 'in stock only' option when surfing at BNA.

Regarding the tiny parts... if they won't be seen, I won't even add them.

Great job Gary. Well done! Is the machine suspension active? With metal springs it is quite spectacular.

This is my entry into 20/20.

Thank you, Kalin! Yes, the entire suspension is active. But the springs are very strong. Many of the pivot joints have PE washers and are secured by melting plastic with a piece of hot metal. And it seems that there are moving parts inside, so that when you turn a set of wheels, other wheels are moved by mechanical action.

The first step in the instructions shows you adding the shock-absorbers which are of a fixed length. So, to make the the suspension perfectly active, you need to create a shock-absorber that telescopes like the real thing. Even if you don't desire the extra effort, save the attaching the shocks until you have attached all four axles. Because the springs are so strong, you may find it impossible to attach the shock absorbers to the axles.

Gaz, BNA does not have Magic models listed in their Manufacturer page. I had to search for it. Glad I did, there are some goodies in there I never knew about. Thanks for the tip, and that barrel looks every bit as good as RB's. I need another for my Marder so I'll give this brand a go.

A quick question before attempting anything stupid. Would Pz.Beob.Wg.IV Ausf.J qualify? I know, the main gun is still there, but coaxial MG removed and its artillery observation vehicle.

I have an idea and desire to build Sd.Kfz.260 / 261. I will use the Hobbyboss 82816 model as a base, with PE and scratch in addition. If my idea does not contradict the rules of the campaign, it will be my choice.

Kalin the SdKfz 260/261 is perfect for the campaign. It is basically a radio command vehicle meant to observe and communicate to others.

Damian, the IV has an active offensive capability which runs aground on this rule.
- Command vehicles (not gun tanks that have dual roles and have an active offensive capability- tanks primarily designed with light weapons only to defend itself in need.).

A dummy gun is fine, or even a vehicle with the main gun missing is fine for the campaign (can you slip the barrel in later? )

Copy that. I will think about different option.

Ok small progress on the Aufklärungspanzer 38(t). While the detail is excellent and sharp, dragon instructions remain a weak point.
Anyway here's the progress so far:

Johanan, I hear you on that. I built the kit several years ago and remember the frustrations with the instructions. If you are using the Magic Tracks, I suggest you make up the runs now before attaching the top and fenders. It is a lot harder later, as I learned with my first 38t based build.
