Thanks Jerry, you may not have to wait too long to get another look at the church. I’ve kinda spent the better part of the last 3 days clearing a space and doing some organizing of supplies etc. Everything’s been in boxes for months since my divorce and move last summer, but I’m making room to build! More in the coming days my friend. Stay tuned, I promise to post something by the weeks end...

Beautiful work JR , one thing I noticed is the thickness of the tool box aided in the replication of the wall thickness of the windows and up by the rafters , cool !!

Yeah man,good point. The two things that peaked my interest in the original toolbox were the thickness of the wood and the gothic shape of the ends. So....easy peasy. Saved a lot of plaster,

I am pretty happy with how my Norman farmyard wall is going so far.
Managed to show some masonry that would befit a petit nobles' house in St Manvieu.
I blended in a piece of wooden molding trim with plaster to create a fancy gate opening.
Most farm complexes in Normandy were walled in. These made perfect "forts" for the kids of the HJ.
Just plaster over wood.

Great looking wall Jerry! I was thinking of doing something similar on a project I am working one. How do you get the plaster so it is easy to score like that? I find my plaster gets fairly brittle when dry. I must be doing something wrong

Start scoring it when it is still damp. Easy answer!

That is just a piece of thin,stiff cardboard that I glued to the corner of the wall when I was attaching the 2 main wall parts together. I wanted extra stability while the glue dried. When I am finished handling the thing as I work on it then I will peal that cardboard off again.
