Oops what were you doing there JR? Brigitte right? As for the duo G, better get me a banjo…but back on topic will there be a smokin’ Panther in the scene? I was looking back at earlier pages & unsure if that’s to come

Nope,no smokin Panthers here. St Manvieu had no german tanks involved, just Scottish/British.
I used that house as a prototype because it was right in that area and so pretty accurate for the place.

I need a bunch more Scotsmen for this ongoing project. Hard to find 1/35 scale British style Infantry kits right now.
So I will crack on with converting them from other sources.
Here we see a german anti-tank gunner from Dragon.
I posed the legs and torso how I wished it to look. Here so far I just modified the leggings by shortening them a bit and giving him a ladder lace on his boots instead of the German style cross lace.
Next I ground off everything that does not resemble Commonwealth battledress.
I rescribed some of the webbing back onto the shoulders as well.Next, the neck was hollowed out to prepare for his brand new resin noggin from Hornet.
I selected an older looking gent because he will be an "old salt" Company Sergeant Major.
Next i selected arms from one of my frankenstein stashes of older figs.
He will have a Sten but I am still messing with the position of that weapon. Not nailed down yet.
He will be joined by a few more in the Company command group, like this runner.
As you see,he began as a German Para. I will remove all of his bonesack coverall and start the same treatment on him as the Sgt Maj.
Hope this helps illuminate some of the conversion world for some.

Hi Jerry, I saw your query about British infantry figures last week and did a bit of web-searching myself — came up with zilch as well. So, I had a feeling that much Franken-figuring would commence — already looking great!

Brian and Mike,
Thanks for checking in Gents. I will do my best Brian, under your very welcome tutelage concerning markings and kit for Commonwealth subjects.
Mike, yes,it seems so. I did see a notice from a store owner on FB yesterday saying he had a shipment on the way with plenty of Dragon British Infantry in Normandy kits! Right on time. I just hope he advirts it when available.
Here is some progress on these guys. Put on the first application of good ol' putty plus shaved the unwanted details off the "kid" on the left.
Now the putty work continues.
Thanks for commenting and lurking as usual,
J

Hi Jerry,
Looking good as always.
Great to see how you morph basic figures to the custom ones that you need and that we enjoy.
Keep up the good work.

It is always nice to behold your work. The last figure I would have thought of to convert to a common wealth soldier would be a Fallschirmjäger!!!

Beautiful work JR !!
What I like is your ability to not only morph figs. but manage to use a Hornet head with the appropriate expression to suit the current scene . Well done Bro , love it !!

Thanks Erwin and Cheyenne for your very nice remarks!
Got some more putty work done on the Royal Scots company runner. I am a bit pleased with the 303. bandoleer. I must let it dry before I sharpen it up. He is about 95% done and then ready for Earl Sheibe.
Thanks for looking and lurking !

Hey Jerry! This is coming along so well! You have such an incredible eye and skill for poses and modifying figures. You have that rare ability to see and understand how humans move in action, and then the ability to accurately form those poses and movements in your figures. Everything looks amazing.

Thanks a bunch Tim and Nate for the very kind remarks! Tim,I took your advice on the wristwatch. Stay tuned.
Nathan, that was a generous thing to write and I deeply appreciate it buddy!
I spent last evening slappin' some paint around and most of it ended up on this guy. Almost there. Needs a pig sticker and sling and paint touch ups here and there. Fantastic Hornet head. I used the new set of flesh tones from Andreas I recently purchased and am very happy with how fine the pigments are and the dead flat finish.
Also began some add-ons to the next vehicle underway. Yes....a vehicle! I know that may be hard to fathom for me but..there it is.
The flimsies and jerry can are from Bronco, the left canvas roll from the kit and the other 2 from putty.
That is all...

Hey Jerry I’m hearing crickets it must be that time of year again, looks like we’ve got the place to ourselves. Very nice work on kneeling guy he looks just like my Geography teacher in the early 70’s and he WAS a Normandy vet…amazing the lengths you go to for accuracy! Has that great-looking Churchill just materialised out of thin air or should Gareth check his window locks?

Thanks man. Yes,the place has been very low energy for a few days now. Summer heat maybe ? I'll bet that teacher had a few stories. Sadly we squirts probably wouldn't have been interested in hearing them at that age!
Tank? What tank?
As far as that goes...NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisi.....oh wait.

Cheyenne and Sean,
Thanks Gents. I have been busy down in the basement. This is the perfect time of year for a cellar dweller. Nice and cool down there.

Yeah man, this afternoon you could bake lasagna in the mailbox. Ho joke.
I was modifying my new Rado figure this morning in the cool confines of the basement.
Have to tweek the hand and a few things but I think I got a "sneekin' feeling that I want ?? Nice fig out of the box but I needed this and not a flat-out runner.
Each Rdo figure gets better and better IMHO
Thanks for looking and lurking in between the tumbleweeds,

Hmmm... what do I do? 🤔... Well, first-off, I'd transpose the numbers since I'm a 71 year old. Then, I'd subscribe to Jerry's other thread where he's building-up the Churchill.😁
Outstanding work on both fronts!🍺

Hi Jerry,
The new figures are looking the bee's knees, and the Churchill is looking the part, .
What did you use to make the tie-down straps on the flimsies?
Cheers, ,
