OK this is my project Leopard 2A5 KFOR from Tamiya 1/35 kit, OOB.
Its really really dutiful kit.

Hi Guys,
I just enlisted in this campaign. I'll be building a Trumpeter Strv103C S-Tank. This fills the number 6 spot in the top 10 list.

I have finished the construction of my Dutch Leopard. I have used the Tamiya 2A6 kit and the Legend conversion set. No build issues to report, except that removing the Antenna bins to replace them with the Legend ones requires a steady hand. The Legend resin parts were up to their usual standard, It is a shame they do not preform some of their PE, or at least score them as a guide to bending, this is particularily evident on the smoke grenade launchers. Other than that a good, simple conversion set.

I'm building the tamiya Leopard 2a5 kit with a barrel depot a6 barrel. To my visual that seems to be the only difference btwn an a5 and a 6, easy kit to build and I'm going with a standard Nato scheme. Sure wish I could read Greek. I would like to see pix of an a4 exotic scheme as I have one of those in the stash.

Wow looks like we certainly got a strong force of leopards for this campaign.
Ethelian and Antony, how are you guys finding the Tamiya kit? Does it come together well? Any complaints? Hoping to add that kit to my stash and would love to have a second opinion on the kit.

Hi all, I've just enlisted and wish to enter a Canadian Centurion Mk 11, circa 1977. I'll smash together the wonderful new AFV Club Mk 5 and hit it with sticks until it's the right Mark, slop on a paint job and QM Depot decals and shout at a piece of wood until it's a suitable base. Or just use glue and tools, who knows.
Thanks for running another fun campaign, Jeremy!

Hi Jeremy,
If you are thinking of a Leo-2, check out the Revell kit. I really think that one is a real must-see must-do. Plus (at least here in Turkey) it is close to only half the price of the Tamiya Leos.

Hey Jeremy, the Tamiya kit was a breeze, typical modern Tamiya kit, no major fit problems, good instructions, what we have come to expect from them. The only "beef" i have with the kit is the "pre cut" clear glass for the optics. This is not totally pre cut and when removing the pieces from the carrier it is very easy to damage them, and the lump left is not easy to remove. I do not know how it compares to the Revell one, but if the Revell one is half the price it might be worth looking at.

Hi folks, progress on my 2nd entry......
M51 Super Sherman, Chilean Army, built OOB. In service until replaced by ex duth Leo 1V in late 90´s.
Only mods I did was add glue all over the cast effect on the turret and hull, since I´ve read that the kit rendition it´s a little bit over done for the scale, that´s why it´s shining. And added metal antennas. Now´s ready for prime and final painting.
Almost forgot. The front fenders floats when I joined the low and upper hull parts. Solution, keep it pressed till fixed with tape. Other fit problem was the turret, so if someone wants to build it, keep an eye on those issues.
Cheers

Thanks for the tips Klaus. I'm building the IDF version as it was during the 1973 October War.

You´re welcome Gary. In my case, the problem with the fenders didn´t improve completely with the tape tip gaved above. So be ready to put some glue or putty to fill the little gaps that could appear.

Well here is my Revell Leopard 2A$.
Not a bad kit to build, I have no idea how accurate it is but it did get to number 1 in the greatest ever programme.
Paint is Tamiya with a variety of weathering pastels. Can't really see them but they are there!
Cheers

Nicely done Tony! I like the camo scheme you got on it. Which airbrush nozzle did you use?
Btw, dont forget to move these photos to the gallery on kitmaker. The final tally will be done based on the entries in there.
Cheers!

Great Job Tony, looks very nicely painted your leo.....
Jazza, I´ll leave some of the pics I took today of my finished Super Sherman M51, Chilean Army. It´s painted with Vallejo Model Color and weathered with Tamiya Weathering Master.....sorry about the poor quality of the photos, not my best day on that field
Now I´m done with the commitements for this campaign. I´ll upload the pics in the proper gallery soon.
Thanks for leading, great campaign
Cheers

I guess that your build would not fit in the spirit of the campaign. Suppose to be a tanks used after the 70´s..... In my case, the M51 Super Sherman was built during the 60´s, and was used by the Chilean Army till the 90´s, after a series of upgrades.
Cheers

Many thanks Jazza and Klaus for your kind words.
Jazza.
The airbrush is a Revell masterclass and the nozzle is 38051 medium I believe that came as standard. Thanks for pointing out that I had to move my pictures to the campaign gallery. I had forgotten to do that
Cheers

Hi armorjunior,
Im afraid Klaus is right on this one. The M4A3 is pre-1970s and doesnt quite fit into the modern theme of this campaign. The abrams on the other hand is most certainly eligible as is the super sherman.

poor quality? Looks fine to me. The little red dot on the table cloth looking background is somewhat eye catching though. :-) Just kidding.
Still churning out the kits like there's a 1:35 scale war going on eh Klaus. Great job on your builds as always. Have you tried applying washes to your models yet?

Thanks Jeremy, that´s the problem with the pics (red dot included :-) ), it has washes and all that stuff, just can´t be seen precisely for the poor quality of them...oh well
Cheers
ps: There IS a small war in the 1/35 quadrant around here :-)

Hi Klaus,
You were right about the fenders and the turret for the M51. What a hassle! Your build looks really great. Love those Chilean Tanks!!!
