Hello All
I have had this tank for ages in my cupboard and was probably never going to build it until now. I wanted to paint it a Tri colour but did not have enough time. I am going on holidays in a hour so had to take pics in a hurry. I will add a crew and maybe a lot more stowage when I get back next year but as it stands the tank is done. I will weather it a bit more when I put the stowage on.
Now to get my humvee finished.
Thanks
Ryally

Here are my version of the winner A Leopard 2A4 from Norway.
It is an Revell 1/72 scale kit with new hull sides from Hasegawa. I also
built an extended box on the rear of the turret. An white camo net was made from cigarette paper end tea leafs.

OK, here's my weary Abrams after the salvage attempt. Depending on my time left, I might add some dust. Currently it looks like it needs some wash or something and the tracks need some work as well as dirtying.

Not bad, Emre, especially considering that you had given this kit up for dead. I think a wash and a bit of sand/dust will make it look pretty good. Cheers for a good save!

You should see the topside pictures, especially the turret You wouldn't think that way then I will perform more touch-ups and then post the pics. Not bad for a salvage job though. Next time I will not use black for preshading, I have learnt my lesson...

I am writing this in order to implore the Armorama community to change the campaign award for the GEMT campaign. The Medal of Honor is the Highest award for valor that the United States Military gives to its members for valor above and beyond the call of duty in the face of the enemy. Many recipients never recieved them because it was awarded posthumously. Those who were alive to recieve it deserve the utmost respect as well does the award itself. In the United States it is Federal offense to wear the medal if you did not earn it, and illegal to trade in real or copy MOH's. This was done in order to preserve the integrity of the award. I believe that using an image of the MOH in this capacity is an insult to all the people who earned the award and to me it shows how little we think of the award to treat the highest US award for valor in such a way. I am a Sergeant in the US Army and a Military Policeman. I feel quite strongly about this issue, and I am asking the campaign leader or administrator to please change the campaign award.
In addition for future campaign award submissions that images of the medals of valor for EVERY nation on Earth (Medal of Honor, Victoria Cross, the Israeli O't Ha'gvora, French Legion of Honor, The Dutch Order of William, etc.), never be used in such a fashion. If we are a Serious Military Modelling community then this is something that we can all agree to accomplish.
I also have a couple suggestions of what the award can be changed to, the branch insignia of the US Armor soldiers which is crossed sabers with a tank superimposed over the sabres. Also the Beret badge of the British Army Royal Tank regiment as a possiblilty.
Humbly submitted

Hi AJ,
I just replied to your PM regarding this issue and basically am more than happy to receive any samples of the awards you may have and not use the one currently selected.
If anyone else has any award samples that they can email to me, i would be happy to consider it for this campaign.

Uh oh...
Wouldn't want to be a spoiler, but that one's a Panther. I really like that particular cat, but if I am correct, Jazza set the rules for "post 1970" tanks for this campaign. By that time some crazy T-34/85s and modernized Shermans were still running around, however Panthers were already retired.
I believe that cat should join the rest of the feline gang under the "Meow" campaign. Would be a pity otherwise.
I have another suggestion for ther ribbon. If this is a greatest ever modern tanks campaign, it means all modern tanks from any nation and any army. A US or UK based insignia would not be fair then, as this isn't a project focused only on that particular nation's tanks. We should use more common symbolism (maybe the letters G.E.M.T. imposed on a tank image?). Wouldn't you agree?

Thats a great suggestion Emre. Following all other suggestions received, i will try to come up with a ribbon thats more generic.
I do apologise in advance to all as i can only create the new ribbon once im back home so there will be a slight delay in awarding the ribbon when the new year arrives.

Jerry the best way to do this is to click on the image you want to move.
- Click on the "Admin Options: Edit Photo " link
- Select the drop down menu in the "Change Category" field
- Select the Greatest Ever Modern Tank Campaign
- Click on the submit changes button.
All done!
Congratulations on completing the campaign!

Okay its still December 31st here in my part of the world so here is my submission to this campaign. Its also my first campaign to have completed.
I actually finished this a couple months ago but kept putting off getting a picture of it.
I did the Tamiya T-72 in Czech markings. Really enjoyed building this kit. I don't usually do modern subjects but building this kit has peaked my interest in building some more.
The only thing I added was the Eduard Zoom Pe set which was very nice.
Hope you all like it.
Just have to get better at taking the pictures.
P.S. I know there is a gallery I am supposed to put the pictures in but I can't remember where to find it. I am not the most computer savy person. Just getting the pics on here was a major accomplishment for me.

Here is my finished campaign entry, a Desert Storm USMC M60A1 with ERA. It's the Tamiya kit built straight OOB. I finished it a month or so ago, but only got around to taking the pics today (it's still December 31 over here!). I decided to go easy on the stowage, primarily because I didn't know how to strap it down--I'll figure it out once I do some research. Hope you all like it.

Hi All,
Heres my CVRT Scimitar.
The kit is Accurate Armours offering with AFV Club road wheels, tracks, pioneer tools and a Model Point barrel( really nice), as the AA stuff was unusable.
I really didn't enjoy this build as I found the AA directions all but useless and the use of white metal a poor choice and suseptable to damage. The AA track was so full of resin flash...well it would have been pointless to use them, I'd still be cleaning them. The hull had shrunk so the overall length may not be too accurate. Don't really know what else to say, except I was very disappointed.
I do have another AA kit , a Centurian AVRE, I guess I'll probably use a AFV donor kit for the running gear....anyhow heres some pics
Cheers
Peter
