Thanks SGTJKJ,
I did get the decals to settle down. I couldn't believe I forgot to apply the micro sol. I shot it with some MM dullcoat and reapplied the pastels and no more shinny decals. I didn't see them until I got at the right angle and the light reflected back at me. GEESH! I was going to use this as a KO'd vehicle, but I purchsed the Zvezda Gaz-AA truck to use instead. It looks like a lot better kit. Thanks again for the kind words.
@Robert: Your viginette looks great and thanks for the tip, I'm in the planning stages of a "Oder River Crossing". I had planned on a Ford GPA hitting the banks. Not sure if the resin would produce too much heat, or do as you said several small pours. I'm sure I'll have questions for you when I get there.
Best Regards,

No problem mate. Always ready to help. I'm very curious about your Oder Crossing dio. From what I experienced with pouring resin (and I'm a major beginner at it myself) is that plastic as soon as it gets thicker does not deform easily under the heat generation of the resin. I already explained with the plastic cup tests and the coffer dam. The Plastic cups were from really thin plastic and only with a lot of resin it did deform while the cofferdam which was made of I think 1mm Styrene did not show any signs of deforming. So yes. Resin gets hot by the chemical reaction... but the heat is not enough to make a cup of tea. And that is about the temperature Plastic gets soft at.
IF you have questions when you start on your Oder crossing dio... just fire away. I'll see if I can answer them. .. I'm the last one to say that I'm an expert on the matter... because I'm not... I only did it once

WOW! an "Oder River Crossing" dio . Great idea! I've been few times very in area where it took place (I've even seen the remainings of command post). It could be interesting subject indeed.
As for my progress - I've spent a lot of time today painting the interior in base colour which is white... Conclusion: Humbrol 34 matt white is the worst paint I've ever used so far.... FUBAR... anyway - nothing interesting to show yet, just these PE parts in the turret:
I hope I post some more soon!

Hello,
@bigwil90,
There is a post on the top of page 7 from c5flies that had a link to a "How To", I tried to copy and paste but it didn't work. HTH.

The BT-7 is almost finished, the tracks and some equipment.
Also started this weekend a Su-85 (German version), pretty straight build from Tamyia.
After these 2, well a KV-2 and a Halftrack sdkfz. 11/4

I Will take the pictures and post them here.
Cheers
iHola Pablo!
you're mostly welcome than .
Just remember to go HERE and enlist!
Can't wait to see what you've done - number and diversity of models presented in this campaign is amazing
Andrzej
Well, finally I managed to find the time to take the pictures. Here you go:
The Kettenkrad is built almost out of the box, except for a scracht built lamp (made out of a translucid file carpet cover and a ring of copperwire), the indicator panel (made with some styrene and copperwire). The cable is a coloured sewing thread.
The FW-190 is completely scratch. I built it with carboard, covered with tin foil. I used a very old 1/48 kit I had and some internet blueprints as references. I a tiny part of the 1/48 kit fuselage as the structure for the cardboard parts.
The snow is made with baking soda, glued and finished with generous layers of bright varnish to prevent it to yellow.
Figures came with the kit. I made some minor modifications to the guys holding the shovel with parts from the spare box.
Everything was painted with acrylics, pigments and covered with a layer of matt cotte.
Hope you like it, mates.

Hello everyone, I see so many great builds with the photos posted. I have found my Eastern Express BT-7 and dusted off the box so that I can now start building for this campaign.

I hope I did this correctly, IT WORKS!
I looked over this link yesterday, but I didn't see the little URL= and couldn't get it the link to work. I use flickr to upload my photos, but the process is the same. It should anserw any posting questions about photos.

Mobious, spectacular job on a bear of a kit, looks great!
Andrzej, that's just teasing us, we want more I'd be blind or shaking uncontrollably after doing that, beautiful job.
Robert, great vignette, I love these small pieces that say so much.
And I'd sure like to see all the photos that haven't been posted yet!

Hello,
@ c5flies, Thank you. On retrospect the kit was only as difficult as I made it. I made it a battle and it became one. I was disappointed with the extreme thickness of the upper armored area. I wanted to open the doors and do some detailing on the interior, just some minor stuff. I should have scratchbuilt the upper with plastic card stock.
Thank you for posting that slick "How To" earlier, I looked thru it and it looks very well written, with a lot of anserws to questions that I had.
@ Andrzej, I see some "Bling" in your T-34 build. Is the PE included with the kit? Someday in the future I might try building one of the BIG ONES, but for now I got a Dragon 1/35 Mod. 41 and Tamiya Mod.43 in the stash.
Looking forward to more pics!

Well.... how to say this... I also want more... I suffer from a very serious lack of time... my son consumes it all since last 3,5 months. I'm extremally happy with this little fellow, but my modelling time went from full time to almost nothing. I just have to wait another few years and make my son model addicted as well .
Today I plan to make some small progress in the late evening (after my son's bath time:D)

PE were included, not many though... these amunition shelves, few straps holding spare tracks, grill and one or two hanldes. Taking under consideration that the 34's construction is quite simple and there is possibility of using plastic to show even very small and thin details in this scale there probably was no need to use more PE sheets (it probably would also increase the price of whole kit).
Another extras in this kit are rubber bands for road wheels and springs for dampers.
I've also used turned aluminium barrel, but I'm bit affraid if it's not too heavy (I may have some problems with turret position).

Here is the start of my second build for this campaign. My first build was the Marder II - this time it is the predessesor, the PzJg I. It is the Italeri/Zvezda kit. It is showing its age, but I plan to add some extra details from the spares box to improve it a bit.
So far the interior is made. I will add some tread plate floor sections later to improve it, although very little will be visible when the PzJg is finished.
More to follow....

Hi Jesper!
is the engine included in this set?
BTW: as I understood this is old Italeri form used now by Zvezda?

Pablo, i'm posting your picture here so everyone can see it.
Very nice, small diorama - a great addition to our campaign!
I'd just add some snow on a tracks (just a bit )
I'm planning to build Kettenkrad for "Halftrack" campaign

Thanks for the comments, Andrzej and John.
The kit is the old Italeri kit, now reboxed by Zvezda.
The engine is included in the kit. The interior does not fit 100% being either too narrow or too wide for the basic hull. This is not to difficult to fix, but one could also just leave it as it is as it will be almost impossible to see. The gun and gun cradle takes up quite a lot of space and blocks the the view of the interior.
- A gun barrel would definitely add some detail to this kit.
- Some new tools are also necessary in my opinion. The tools in the kit are strange sizes and the claps are extremely simplified.
- The tracks could also be substituted for individual link tracks.
- The drive sprockets have a very prominent sink mark in the middle of the sprocket which is difficult to fill and sand due to fine bolts around the center of the sprocket.
However, one has to be careful not to spend 3-4 times the price of the kit on AM items as this will never turn into a top class model like the Dragon Premium editions.
So unless you really want to pimp it up and have sufficient cash on hand, I would only recommend new tools from the spares box and a new gun barrel. If weathering is going to be light (unlike my kit) maybe a set of new tracks could be worth the investment.
I am adding extra tools from a Dragon kit. The guys at dragon are so nice they include two complete sets of tools in many kits. One with claps molded on and one with the claps seperate as PE parts.
Follow this space and I will keep you updated on my progress Marking suggestions are highly appreciated as the kit decals only seem right for a DAK vehicle.

Many great-looking builds here coming up nicely.
No updates to my build thread this time, but as somehow missed this one while posting last time, here's the seam on the top of the hull I was talking about.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
Because both the turret and the hull are too narrow, my operation won't stick out like a sore thumb in model. In fact, I feel it makes it more dimensionally balanced.
Also, expect an update to the build thread as well. (don't worry about missing it, I'll post a heads-up here)

Amazing work. I love the vignette. Great snow and I love the tracks and footprints in the snow. Also a cool touch about the tailsection of the crashed plane.
I made some progress too on my little vignette/figuredisplay you guys can see it here. Looking forward to your feedback
