Hi all, been busy but have kept looking in,some fantastic builds so far.well Ive nearly finished the Pinky the colour has been driving me mad reference photos of this vehicle are as rare as hens teeth,Ive taken some photos outdoors so they might be a bit lighter than normal its a sunny day today (yes the sun does shine in london I used Tamyia pink as a base then lightened with Vallejo Salmon Rose I used vallejo german dark cammo green for scratches and worn areas as the origonal colour would have been british bronze green. Please tell me what you think Ive got a big butt so its used to being kicked.
I know theres still bits missing but its still a wip.

Have finished the figures now it’s time to under coat. The tank was a joy to build but the figures were a pain; they took twice as long as the tank to build!

Shorty I think thats a pretty common problem. I do a lot of figures and to do a really good figure probably doesn't take as much engineering as a tank would, but it is still a kit in itself. So to keep costs down many of the figures in the planes I work on are often pretty bad. They have not had the same level of work applied to them by the company as they did for the plane. I imagine its the same with armor/vehicles. The problem then is you either go crazy working on crap figures or they look so bad that they don't look any good in the scene. I was going to do a desert SAS jeep before but the 3 figures to replace the ones in box was going to cost twice what the kit did. Your tank looks cool. I seem to be in a miniority amongst my modelling friends as i like the early Panzers, but my friends if it doesn't have Jadg in the name then it isn't a real tank.

The 190 has now been sprayed. Its a light grey fuse with dark grey upper surfaces. I have to do some small dots on the fuse and tail which are dark grey. Then its a shiney coat and decals. I don't know how much weathering to do. It is late war, but the box art shows it pretty perfect and newish. Not sure if it would be or not.

HI guys
I'm done with my build on the Sydney Camm campaign so here's my entry for this campaign the Tamiya L.R.D.G. Command car and Breda 20mm AA gun for a distinctly Kiwi flavour! I thought it appropriate since I'm a kiwi and all and I'm proud of our military heritage. Hey we may have been second choice for the formation of the L.R.D.G. (the Aussies were apparently too busy to and needed all their men!) but we proved it could be done and taught all the others how it was done! And the Breda AA? Well our boys weren't called the thieving Kiwi's for nothing if it could be perked it was! If you get the opportunity take a look at some of the pictures of our Bren carriers in the western desert it wasn't unusual to find them festooned with Vickers, Breda's and Browning's in both 30 cal and 50 cal!
Wish me luck!

Cool choice. I don't build many vehicles as I am a plane guy, but the two I have are both desert jeeps. Certainly interesting subject matter.

Here's my build for the campaign :
Not many parts here And I'll be using Glue !!!!
This will be my first foray into WWII Luftwaffe "Wingy things" and also Mottling... I'll be using the Lifecolor RLM color packs which the Mailman has just delivered

Chris, Nice looking kit there looks like it will build up in to a nice model good luck.
Jay, That's a big bird there I have no doubt it will look awesome built up looking forward to seeing it underway.
Paul, good to see you starting your build its good to see some more "wingy things" being built.

Here is my completed Bird. The decals were horrible. I was worried when i saw printed in Korea and they were just terrible. The newer Academy kits are using Cartograf or something like that. Same as Airfix and they are great. The build itself was pretty straight forward and nothing was really difficult. For a 10.00 kit its quite decent. No Swastika for the tail which is a problem. Mostly airbrushed with a little brush work and weathering.

OK I think I'm ready to call this 1 finished for now I will place in a diorama with a Karl Morser for the Art of the Battelfield Campaign. it will be given more weathering then
This was my 1st Trumpeter kit and I had never used this much PE, and the rope cable came out too lose
So I have to admit this kit was a challange OOB. The boggies, if thats what they are called, were like 8 pieces and in MHO over engineered which is why I used the rubberband tracks instead of the individual link track, both of which were included
Comments are always welcome and suggestions may be added later on for the Arty Campaign

Hi all, nice work done so far. I just signed up with my 1:144 AH-64D Apache. I'll probably get started in a couple of days with a picture of the still wrapped up parts.

@Aaron: Yeah I'm a plane guy too, I've not long finished Eduard's Tempest MkV (Now I want the Profipack version!) in the markings of New Zealander Evan "Rosie" Mackie. But I like to do armour and soft vehicles as light relief from my "wingy" things.
@Scott: Here's hoping eh?? lets see what I can do with it!
Anyway here's a couple of pics of the finished Breda (assuming of course I can get the photo's to embed!)

Chris,
Nice to see a piece of armor built in this campaign. The Breda looks great.
