Ok, seen as everything on my workbench is now OIF related looks like I'll have a lot of things to put in for this one. If its ok I might enter my M2A2 from a previous campaign, I never got it done so its like half started but I hope to complete it soon-Full interior! I will also have an M1114 and hopefully a Stryker-come on AFV club!

I've jumped in the deep end,
I've got designs for a big dio, Using the VLS middle east tenament, and the MIG Burnt out car, With Dragon's Modern Marines, Three sets of VLS Insurgents and a surrendering arab, along with some accesories for the surrounding area.
The idea is simple, The four marines are patroling the area, and the arab has come out with his hands in the air shouting things, They all turn to look, Behind the marines, around the corner, there is five insurgents ready to ambush, So basically the insurgents have set up a decoy and are about to ambush.
Should be a huge project, With the first obstacle being the sheer cost.
Excluding paints, a base, and any extras, The cost is £108. And on a small wage of £25 a week, i won't be starting for a while.
But i'll keep you all updated.
Scott.

What should I enter? At the moment I'm building a M3, M3A1, M3A2 and a couple of M2A2's and the ugly AAVP7A1 in 1/72 scale but I really would build something else.
Well I'll come up with something.

I'm not going to jinx myself by saying what I am going to build for the campaign because I will never finish it like the Bradley for the Modern Armor Campaign and the M1114 for the Hummer Campaign. I will just surprise you all when I get one of my many OIF projects done on the bench.

Well, I started mine a few days ago. I had wanted to do a Diorama depicting Paul R Smith (Medal of Honor Recipient) in the M113A3 he used to fend off and kill 50-100 Fedayeen in the opening days of OIF. This has been in my stash for some time, and I have been itching to build this (among other things), so this is the perfect excuse. The M113A3 will be coirrect to the best of my abilities including Academy Interior and Custom radio shelf and spall liners. The base kit is a Tamiya M113A2 kit, and I also have the Eduard photo etch set for it, although I admit, after looking at it, I wont be using every piece off of every fret. Some of the pieces are so small, I can barely see them let alone fold them and or hold them. Yikes! Pictures of the Battlescape and info can be found on the US Army's web site here for anyone interested........... http://www.army.mil/medalofhonor/smith/

Shane, If your not to sure on what to build try a hummer? You can't go wrong with a hummer.
Add some stowage and figures. Its what i'd do.

Im thinking its time to take out my M2A2 Bradley for this one.
Do you guys reckon the tank crew by DML (Item No 3020) would go with the M2A2?

Yes, sort of. The figures will work as any armored vehicle crewmen, not just tankers. The issue is with the body armor. For OIF, all soldiers wore body armor. Most crews wore IBA vests and a few wore the CVC Nomex vest. Only 1 of the DML figures wears body armor, and he is in the Nomex CVC vest, not an IBA vest. To correct them, you can take the IBA-clad torsos from either the DML Modern Marines, or Trumpeter's USMC or 101 ABN in OIF figures, and swap out the torsos. That way you have modern AFV crewmen in IBA vests. Also, if you want them to represent 3ID Bradley crewmen during the invasion, a couple of the Trumpeter figures are wearing JS-LIST chem suits too. They are the ones with hoods.
Tamiya's figures that come with their M2A2 ODS kit and M1A2 kit are correct for OIF crewmen wearing IBAs. They are not that well molded though.
Good luck.
