A update on the nazi research bunker. The test room i have not touched for a long while now. So there it needs allot of work still. But did today some work on the bell (not completely finished yet, but getting there) And some piping and electrical wires in the hallways. Hope you like it. Sorry for the slow progress, but as i mentioned we are one guy short at work. Or maybe even two guys short. Allot of working every day so when i come home my hobbies are not exactly the first thing on my mind. But from now on i will try to prioritate this project more.

GREAT result so far!!!
The small pipes and cables add nice details and realism to the scene! These are an "eye-catcher".
Also nice to see the bell painted!
greetings...

Thanks guys. I will try to keep up the good work. Its easier to start on the details when the big things are almost done. Cant wait to start on the control room and the test chamber.

It would be good if you could incorporate a number of hanging lamps or tubes that actually worked to give some subtle lighting to the dio. Your last photos give an idea as to what lighting could add to the dio if it was working.
The size of those LED lights are amazing if you you could get a few that were not too bright.
Glad to see your progressing. Still following.

As me and the missis are moving out of our current home and in to a new one soon. Hopefully. So i have been super busy with that. And have not had to much time for the dio. Sadly. But ive bought some materials so i can use when the new hobby room is ready. Soon i hope. Cuz ideas has been building in my mind. And i want to get them out Hope you guys have not lost hope. Hi Soeren,
Nice to see i am not forgotten
Ive felt bad everytime i pass the dio as i see it everyday. but there is boxes and stuff all over the place so i dont have any room or time to sit properly down before we have moved. So hopefully that will happen soon. So the daily life can continue and normal rutines be ... yeah normal again.

This looks great so far!
I also will use a lot of wood for my actual WW2-diorama.
(the other space-based diorama has no wood) LOL
Nice to see you here again!

Tnx Soeren. I liked the touch the wood gave the dio. Gave the bunker a little more home feel or exclusive feeling to it. The walls will be the same colors as the lower floor. And flooring will be a brownish exclusive type. Ill try to make it as shiny as possible. But ill see what i manage to do with what i am going to use. Hope for the best. Its nice being back. Have missed working on the dio. I feel now i cant stop working on it cuz its so fun. Specially when i see the results.

Hi Jarle
Great to see you making progress again. Like the wooden boarding on the walls. Are you going to add a portrait of Der Fuhrer and some other bits and bobs on the walls?
Looking forward to your updates.

Hi Nige. And thanks, Hehe, that would be funny to have on the wall, a picture of the fuhrer. Hmm, maybe with a golden frame. He was sertainly into himself so maybe a pic on the wall would be cool. But i was also thinking of some blueprints of new weapons or something like that. I just painted the walls and floor. So i am letting that dry until tomorrow. And ill maybe do another update then.

Maybe on the top you could add a turret bunker like the Atlantic Wall fortifications or a 3.7 FlaK with some metal door hatches.
It's really a great looking dio !!

Yes, the idea with an portrait of A.H. sounds good and would fit better to your diorama than to my one.
For my dio I had ideas to make a small map, a "special book" and I printed some propaganda-posters on an DIN A4 sheet.
The result:
But I will use the book and the map only on my scene. Also I reworked the book and made a new smaller (correct sized) one.
I have no photo from the smaller one, but I used a 1/35 figure for a more correct size-comparison.
So also I can recommend using the portrait and if you´re interested... a book.
Perhaps it´s useful for your project.
greetings...

Thanks guys. I did not make an update yesterday as the paint on some of the things was drying, so i wanted to wait for that. Will post them as soon as i am done with some of the painting.
Soeren that looks really good. Would love to use something like that in my dio. Just gotta find a way to do it. Just bought a new printer so hopefully it can make that good type of prints.
I guess i gotta start making some furnichures soon. And the control panels. And the windows.

Hi folks. Been a little slow on updates due to much work and that me and the missis are moving in to our new home soon. But not until 5th of september. And hopefully after i have made my new hobby workshop i will do more updates and progress on the dio, lately it has just been to hectic. And my hobby area is just filled with moving boxes and furniture.
But i got a lot of inspiration from the captain america movie. Tons of nazi what if stuff. I recommend it to those who like superhero movies and lots of cool action
Jarle.

Hi guys. Still on with the moving to the new house. But the area where my hobbyroom is going to be, will be rebuilt with new seiling, floor and walls. So it might take some time. But ill try to keep the thread alive in the mean time. I bought allot of models on ebay to keep me busy along with the dio when the hobbyroom is done. Many German prototype tanks. And a trumpeter 1:16 t34 that i am seriously looking forward to build.
But what annoys me is that i cant find any models of the German proto Löwe tank. I think this could be a nice edition to my collection. But cant find it anywhere. Does anyone here maybe know of a kit in 1:35?
I think it was the model that the tiger II came out of.
a photo.
Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Jarle, during the last weeks I discovered the scandinavian-countries via streetview. .
And... I found some very beautiful places and cities! (for example "Trondheim")
But back to topic... I don´t think, that there is a maker, which has the "Löwe-tank" in its "sortiment". Also some more "paper-projects" are not in plans by some plastic/ styrene makers... but Trumpeter/ Hobbyboss tries to give us some good kits.
Possibly a resin-kit maker will make your desired kit? But I´m not sure.
But also I have no ideas about the "me-known" manufacturers!
Possibly I missed a kit, because I heard the name of this one!
Interesting ideas you have...
greetings...
Soeren

After a small "search", possibly Hobbyboss could have this vehicle in its plans.
But now they have some interesting paper-panzers. (I think about to buy one)
Hmm, how about one of the both "VK.4502(P)" instead?
As I see, the Löwe-tank has its turret nearly centered and frontside.
So the "VK.4502(P)V" could be an alternative vehicle.

Thanks. Yeah there is allot of nice places here in Norway. We still have one canon standing in Norway that might be the largest still standing from the war. 40.6cm barrel. They tested it once and never again due to the massive explosion coming from just the shot, spectators that i heard of got hurt and windows far away broke.
Its huge...
And a link to a site with more photos.
http://forums.filefront.com/fh-off-topic/262423-my-visit-batteri-theo-adolf-canon-worlds-largest-coastal-gun.html
The vk 45.02 is more of a ferdinand (elefant) tank. Just with a turnable turret. I have both versions of this tank. The front mounted turret, and the rear mounted turret. and i also have the ferdinand. Cool kits. But i like the what ifs really much. Might just have to wait and see if a kit shows up.

Hi Guys. It has been a long time since i have posted anything here. The building of the rooms have taken up all my time. But i just recently put together a table because i could not hold myself anymore. Walking past the model boxes had my fingers longing to do some work. The nazi bunker build will continue. Just need some materials for the control room as i am not sure what to build the control panels of. Have tried to look for photo etc parts from cockpits and such but with little success. So i will browse ebay for stuff. If any of you know of something that might work please do not hesitate to show it as i am longing to get this project done. And for the figures i cant say i have found much there either. Might just have to try to custom make something. Scientists and nazi soldiers.
Also started a trumpeter 1:16 t34/76 build. Really looking forward to build that one.
Here is a photo of my current workbench i put together the other day. Not done yet, and i need better lighting as the one in the photo literally sucks.
