Hi jarle
Looking real good. Try to make sure the risers for all the stairs are as close as possible the same size as this will affect the look at the top and bottom.
One way to clear that problem is to form or build up the floor on the ground level that matches the stair construction exactly as you have built it with the top tread the same level as your top floor.
Great stair build.

Here is a closer photo of the stairs. As you can see they are not flat metal plates

I raised the floor now with approx 2cm. So now the upper metal platform is in level with the upper floor. And now i do not need to fuss with extra stairs or anything else

Thanks guys. Yeah the stairs was a good idea (thanks to Nige) Waiting for the puddy to dry now so i can sand it down, to remove the gaps between the old and new floor. And then ill respray that area and take another photo with the stair in there.

Hey Jarle
That stair looks fantastic and fits the bill. Is it a kit or scratch built? The detail is just the job and very industrial looking.
Glad the idea worked in with your dio and am looking forward to seeing what other ideas come out of this. It would be great to see how the stairs fit in with the bigger picture and how you raised the floor. You made it fit perfectly.
Can't wait to see how you form the lower floor and detailing of your viewing area.

The stairs was a miniart kit i think. I bought it a wile ago. Yeah it did look really great.
I am wondering of having a semi gloss green or red floor that you see in some basements on the lower floor. I dunno about the control room floor. Got any ideas?

Hi Jarle
Came across this web page when I was looking up ww2 factories. OK it is a UK underground complex but maybe some ideas like the transformer or battery racks.

Don't know about the flooring though.

Ohh. Nice site. Def bookmarked. I like some of the cable details. Thanks Nige.
Here is the crate where the artifact will be lying in. Still needs some work so it is far from finished. Will mark it with the nazi logo and writing that it had in the movie.

Jarle
Options for lighting either with long reflectors in line or circular pendant lamps hung from the ceilings too.
Possibly clocks and countdown timers on the viewing wall in a pattern similar to the dials you can see in the first pic beside the transformer
I also like the old style trolly on the last pic. That could be what the box was carried on in a metal crate to the bottom of the stairs. Then the smaller crate carried up the stairs.

Here is the crate with symbols on the side.
Yea there is allot of things to consider. Making the control panels is prob going to be the most tricky thing to make.

I used balsa wood and a pen. The crate is aprox 4x3cm. And steel wire to simulate the rope.

Thanks Nige and Kirk. I sat down and watched the Indiana jones movie to see how it looked to match it. But perfect match is a little hard with something that small. So i tried my best. But it came out pretty nice

Hi Jarle. I love the shuttered effect you managed on the poured plaster ... really convincing. Now with the steel stair case and piping/pluming, it really starting to look the part.

Thanks Frank. Yeah it is slowly taking shape. But its getting there
Anybody know of a good place/site to get plastic sheets? So i can make custom things? like beams, structures, die Glocke etc. I am all out of plastic.

And anyone got any idea how the nazi uniforms should look like? Since this is not a standard war scene from any known period. And if you know where i can get figures that might fit in here. I am not so sure about custom making figures since i have never done it.
