All this talk of Model T's is giving me the urge to build a fleet of ambulances...
It's a shame that more isn't available, but I'm with you. The model T is the easiest WW I era kit to acquire now. RPM teased us with that 1/48 ambulance kit release, but not in 1/35 (did it?). Luckily scratching a body onto the back of the 1/32 Lindberg kit (which way I've been leaning again) for an ambulance shouldn't be impossible-- or the other way I was leaning (can you lean two ways at once?), to cobble together a French armored car out of wheels and bits from a 1/32 Minicraft Highway Pioneers set that's lingering on my shelf.
There's still some RPM 1/35 stuff on E-Bay-- the Model T scout car and the FT-17 light tank, but the price has gone up since they were discontinued.
Although an honest tank in 1/35 would be awesome.

You know I tried to do the model t for the last one but that kit is so bad it defeated me. More flash than jumping jack flash watching flash gordon whilst singing flash by Queen!
Might try the resicast one for the next one it must be better than the RPM one!

Take one recently won Emhar Whippet tank, mix well with accurate armour tracks and lots of mud!
What do you get?
A recipe for fun!
I'd be happy to join!

Jeremy, How about aircraft? Opening it up to the fly-fly boys could definitely bring some added bodies.

Jeremy,
A) Is a first WWI Tank used after WWI as either a tank or monument allowed?
B) Does anyone know were I can source an Emhar MkV Hermaprodite, I had one on order from hobby link Japan for over 8 months & they have cancelled it now & I can't find anyone in Australia with one
Cheers Mike

Alex: It is open to EVERYTHING! I will make an announcement in our sister sites as soon as it gets approval.
Mike: As a memorial, DEFINITELY! As for the other scenario, what exactly are you thinking about?

technology campaign would work for my 1/16 Ford model T truck conversion into a machine gun carriage, or my Ford panel van conversion to an ambulance...

Thanks. Aircraft gives me a back-up plan. I've got an Albatross DIII and a Bristol F2B in the stash. What I'd like to do is keep it on the ground though. Maybe a trench scene or maybe horse cavalry. It's a ways off and it really depends on what I come across between now and then.
I've never done any WW1 ground subjects so it'll be a learning process, but one that I am looking forward to.

Roland: You're covered either way, and I'd love to see both!
Alex: Why not combine the two? You can have the wreckage of a downed observation plane of fighter in an interesting location with just about anything ground related.

Hi Jeremy,
As a memorial in Russia to the Civil war with Germans sight seeing / driving past.
Have also seen a photo of one taken from Russia to Germany as victory spoils & then used as a rd block / block house in Berlin, have also seen the FT17 used for anti partisan duties in both Russia & Yugoslavia

The memorial, spoils of war, and road block are definitely ok!
I'm not sure about the latter scenario, if it's close enough to the end of WWI I may consider it if that is what you really want to go for. The FT17 in that scenario would also make a good candidate for the Between the Wars campaign.

Jeremy, I'll see what comes my way before deciding on anything. I'll tell you, I'd like to do a FT-17 with some accompanying French Infantry. I'll have to see what they have over at the hobby shop. I did check Squadron and they have a variety of 1/32 scale biplanes in stock.
For me, my experience modeling WW1 is limited to a few aircraft kits. Basically, I'm open to anything.

Hi Jens,
Campaign Tag at the top of the page. Don't know if it has been registered yet.
BTW keep an eye out for some WW1 troops from Gerard aka Resicast. Might be something coming along there.
Happy New Year folks.
