Thanks, but I think it's useless. I'll work with the few pics I have and come up with a turret.
Tankette V 16 N 4 had a lovely set of 1/72 and 1/48 Dick Harley drawings for Little Willie including a set with the turret & steering wheels. It also has 1/48 interior drawings and details of the steering wheel raising mechanism and the Fosters track system.
PM me if you can't get a copy from friends.
Paul
Okay, I'll look into that! Thanks Paul.
I may have bit off a bit much as I see I may have to save up or leave room on a card as the Willie is a bit salty in price.

If you don't mind rivets (
)scratchbuilidng Little Willie is really easy. Flat plates. Unbelieveably simple "suspension" with barely visible wheels. Flat plate tracks with a small section of half-round at one end.
Easy Peasy!
The drawings are nice & clear and you could go all the way and add an interior!

I made the first step into getting ready for this Campaign. I bought some WWI figures to go along with Willie:
Next a diorama set I've had my eyes on, then the big purchase... Little Willie.

Hi Jeff,
Glad to see you getting geared up. Who makes the figs?
Talking figures Gerard is working on another Standing British Infantryman at the moment who looks excellent and will fit the early war years nicely.
Cheers

Hi Paul and Alan! Yes, the figures are Verlinden and the dio I'm looking at (yes, I am going to buy instead of build) is this:
Should be good... I don't know.

Managed to get some good drawings and photos of the Canadian Armoured Autocar, so I'm now starting the CAD models for the wheels, differential and the lower part of the engine. There might even be a resin kit produced from this project, so I've got my work cut out for me to make a master, get the kit made and then build one of the kits before the campaign ends by the end of 2014.
We'll see how this goes...

That sounds like a great project! If that's what you have your heart set on, then just push forward with it and I'll work with you on it.
Go ahead and finish the CAD renderings and make all of your parts in the meantime.

Hi Paul,
Sounds like an interesting project.
Jeff, I see you're ready to go lol, lol.
I'm off to Duxford this Sunday so may well come back with the 6 inch Howitzer and Model T Ambulance lol. Gerard's new figure is progressing well and speaking with George Moore work is progressing well on the Holt Tractor, so something unusual to look forward to there.
It's been a slow year for me, only a few figures completed, but hopefully I can get some building done soon.
Cheers
Al

So do you guys think the Mini Art Dio I have pictured is worth 46 bucks?
I have no experience with these things and think I might have to had real turf/grass to make it real?
Any advice would be great, I just don't want to make a big mistake and it turns out to be nothing at all.

Hi Jeff,
I don't see any problem with the base, not everything was mud and trenches, so choose you time period and setting appropriately. If you visit IWM and look through the pics you'll get some interesting references. The structure has some damage and that's appropriate.
Cheers

Thanks Alan. I was thinking a scene where the Little Willie was on a test drive and they came to rest at that location.
Since it really never saw any action, this could be a good topic of conversation too?

Whipper Tank?
I was thinking of getting the Accurate Armour Whippet Tank. Has anyone built this - any reviews/feedback on the kit?
Any alternatives in plastic that are half decent?
Cheers
