Right, so this campaign starts in Sept (right?) and runs for 15 months?
If so, I might be in. Is it permitted to create the CAD models for any parts to be made by 3D printing prior to the start and just print them after the start?
I'm thinking of scratchbuilding this:

Originally armed with the completely useless Colg MGs, they were rearmed with the highly useful Vickers and served throughout the war.
I'm thinking of making the custom wagon wheels and maybe parts of the frame from rapid prototoyped material. The balance would be scratchbuilt from sheet plastic with resin or styrene MGs.

Oh dear, I see the pigeon truck again...
I hope to see plenty of Model T variants this time around, especially with the excellent 1/48 kits that have come out!
Paul: I absolutely encourage CAD, or any scratchbuilding, in ALL of my campaigns. If you have access to the equipment, go for it! I see at least three distinct types variations of those gun trucks that you can build. I really dig the one in the foreground in the top photo.
Jeff: That is such a cool looking little kit, I would love to see that!

Yes, and sadly I think that the vehicles in WWI are not sought after much like the later wars... must be the camo paint, huh.
A bonus to finally getting this kit is that I am heavily into 1/16 RC tanks and have long wanted to build a Mark IV or a Tadpole but, the Little Willie will work even better and once I get the kit I will start with the measurements as I really don't need to have a main gun on this one.
The Little Willie kit produces a vehicle that is only 6 X 3 inches so maybe a dio or another vehicle next to it is necessary?

Yeah, it' different, but the Colt armed variant didn't see service for long, if at all. The crappy Colts were replaced by Vickers very early on.

Jeff: I'd like to see your collection sometimes. You always have a lot of interesting things going on!
The size of your build doesn't matter, you don't need anything additional if you are building it from the ground up.
Paul: I hear ya, the Vickers were definitely the way to go! Feel free to post some images of your CAD designs once you're happy with them, we'd love to see them!

I'm hoping (like every other WWI modeler) that the 100th anniversary of the War will generate some interest among modelers and inspire some of the major kit manufacturers to release some new WWI kits.

BTW Resicast have the 6 inch howitzer WW1 version. Should be a cool kit, I built the WW2 version which makes for a fine artillery piece.

Who sells Resicast Alan? I'd like to check out that Holt Tractor and see what the cost is?
Maybe have the tractor dragging the Little Wille out and about? I have not worked with resin since my 1/16 Sturmtiger conversion.
