@Jeremy- Thanks for the support and offer of motivation! Always liked reading about WWI when I was growing up (or trying to)
The avation during this conflict especially inspired me, as well as the imagery of the Western Front. So thanks for proposing this campaign!

@Steph- Like the Airfix Bus project! Any 'figs' near by ought to be holding an umbrella!

@Jeff T- This Campaign does deserve to be special, so I agree on the diorama idea as well!

This won't be used for this Campaign, but here's the kit contents shot for the Ground Force Campaign, just stripped the chrome sprue...


Question- The 1916 Battle of the Somme was only used as a Campaign start point.
Or are we required to use vehicles/aircraft that match that time frame as well?
Dumb question that has to be asked, I have an idea for this Campaign and want to be in compliance

Hi Dave,
Yes, that Lindberg Model T kit is what I used for the three models in the Great War gallery. Lots of pieces left over.
I made the tires from scratch from irrigation pipe as the kit's rubber tires were way over scale.

Just been to my local Hobbytown USA and on their "NEW" shelf was a Emhar 1/35 scale Mark V tank (Hermaphrodite). This is the first time I have seen this kit in years (plenty of Mark IV have been available locally), so for all of the late WW1 modellers, now is the time to grab one !

I need to find a good publication of WWI tanks that would include the "Little Willie".

I am intrigued that it had a dummy turret to go on top and I don't believe there are too many images of it, so a book with drawings or even pictures showing these images would be helpful.

I'd like to display it with and without PLUS the trailing wheels too.

Tankette V 16 N 4 had a lovely set of 1/72 and 1/48 Dick Harley drawings for Little Willie including a set with the turret & steering wheels. It also has 1/48 interior drawings and details of the steering wheel raising mechanism and the Fosters track system.
