That turned out very nice Mark!

Cheers, Colin! Unfortunately, my iPhone photography doesn't really do justice (IMHO).

Looks great, John! But is it not a bit shiny? Need to hit it with a shot of matt varnish?

Mark, I had to take those photos with 2 head lamps just above... trust me it isn't shiny on natural lighting !

The Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.F2(G) is just about complete, only tracks to do now! Not sure what scheme I’ll paint it yet.

Nice build, John! Looks really nice with a good dirty and worn look to the panzer grey.

Gentlemen (and ladies, if any are out there reading this):

I have been prowling and growling around the edges of this campaign since the beginning, watching from afar with interest as you have presented your many well-done builds. Since I recently finished my own Panzer IV build, which I unfortunately started too early to enroll in this campaign, I have decided to start a new build, for this campaign. It is inspired by this same vehicle I saw on another website -done in 1/72 scale!

Here is my intended build in 1/35:

I won't be doing a full interior build but only the driver's side compartment. It will thus be a complementary build to my last Panzer IV (in which I did the entire interior EXCEPT for the driver's compartment). And I'm using the Verlinden interior set because, frankly, I don't want to have to do the amount of scratchbuilding I did on my last build. Nevertheless, I do anticipate that I will be adding to and modifying the Verlinden set somewhat to bring it up to snuff.

For those of you unfamiliar with this vehicle, it was the artillery observation version of the Panzer IV, attached to Hummel and Wespe batteries. It came equipped with three radio sets, an extendable periscope mounted on the turret roof and a Stug III commander's cupola instead of the standard Panzer Iv cupola:

I won't show you all the sprues (kind of pointless, I think) but I will show two items of interest to me:

Wire mesh schurzen (Drahtgeflechtschurzen)!

And Magic Tracks!

And what paint scheme do I intend to finish it in? The "ambush" scheme of late-war German AFVs:

So a Panzer IV ausf. J with wire-mesh skirts and ambush pattern - how cool is that? Way cool IMO! I'll get started on my build tomorrow and hope to have my first posting by next week. I'll embed my build log within this thread. Hope to have it done before the campaign expiration date of July 2015!

Sounds awesome, Kevin! Both the kit and ambush camo are great choices. I have the same kit in my stash and I am looking forward to see how it builds up.

Looking forward to see more.

Hi, everyone. My Jagdpanzer IV build is done. Not going for any particular vehicle or perfect historical accuracy. This build was more about challenging my building skills and trying my hand at a diorama.

Looks great, Chuck. A great scene that tells the story instantly.

Only small details would be that the figures seems to shiny, but it might be the photo. Also does the Jagdpanzer float on the grass or is it just the angle of the photo?

In any case great diorama! Thanks for sharing

Thanks. I agree about the sheen on the figures. Still trying to find a clear flat that I really like. That's one of the key points I intend to work on with my next figures.

The pic angle doesn't help, but the JPz is actually sitting on the hardpack road next to the grass. It was pressed slightly into the groundwork, but I wanted to depict a hard pack road with minimal give.

Looks good. If you add a DShK on a pintle mount, then you can paint it in post war Syrian colours.

Hi guys great campaign you have going with with really awesome builds.

I would like to join you guys with this old Mr.Hobby (gunze sangyo) Panzer IV f2. To be built as one of the first G's right after change to the kwk 40/L43.

panzerivboxfront by Wulfen, on Flickr

panzerivboxside by Wulfen, on Flickr

I bought the model with no tracks so I will be looking for either some fruilis or modelkasten for it I think. Also, thinking about getting a Panzer Art barrel with canvas cover for it.

This is my second campaign, first one was back in 2012 but I never managed to finish my Panther. Hoping to get this one completed on time.

Good building everyone.

Edit: I will make the photos work!!
