Last update for the day chaps,

Loader and driver get nametags, loader also gets his issue tattoo.

Any silvering is just decal solution working its magic.

Dan,
Have been going back through your previous posts and loving every bit of it! Fantastic stuff!

If I may ask, what did you use to create the stowed CAMNET?

No problem fella

I used the Verlinden camnet which in essence is just a open weave bandage which has been dyed green, I have used the standard white bandage in the past as it all gets primed anyway. As for the cam squares or garnish I have used mixed herbs, tea leaves and but this build Chally I used the Noch Leaves because they are all a uniform shape and size.

The MK11 Chieftain build I used mixed herbs on the barrel.

Watered down PVA glue is all you need for the net and the garnish.

Hope this helps

Dan

On her tracks for the first time, a few quick picture for you.

Still a week or so of work before she is finally finished, next up is weathering the hull and turret and more detail painting.

Enjoy

Just making up some bungee cords,

These will secure the grease gun and a few other items
around the tank. Lead wire 0.3mm makes the cord and the hook is made from the wire found on some wine bottles.

Over scale I know, but its the smallest I can make.

Dan, I am going to have a try at those bungee cords. Slightly overscale or not, they look great.

Love the bungees, great detail.

I was having a hard time deciding what I wanted to build next, and this thread has really pushed me towards building a challenger...your build looks fantastic!

Thank you chaps for the feedback, Id recommend this kit to anyone, its a real cracker, it has a few issues but nthing some basic modelling can't overcome.

I've added a spare bungee to the side basket and painted both up now.

More detail work added, Commanders cupola gets wipers,
Shame Eduard etched them with the wrong off set, they are too far to the left to match up to the motor arms.

Pioneer tool painting

Side skirts are now primed, the tie downs were really fiddly
and caused a few issues being etched from very thin brass.

Water supplies are on board now for those important cups of tea, the loader will be busy as he's the duty brew boy, 80 litres should see them right for a day.

And the side skirts
