Hi, Steve the ring behind the windshield are an "O" vertical. So, its a Willys jeep to me.
Ford ones are horizontal.

Thanks so much for the keen eyes on the jeep photo! I've got a mostly built Willys somewhere, so I'll modify some figures for that one, and keep on the Bantam for the campaign.
Thanks for the warning on the Bantam kit, Dilbert!.

Jon Great work, I really like how your Jeep turned out
So my build was this Trumpeter BJ212 Military Jeep and I was not happy with this kit at all
The front wheels use a thin plastic axle that feels like it will brake any minuet and the roof was missing the center support piece

I fixed that with some plastic strips but I am completely turned off by this kit
So here is what it is looking like now

Just gonna clean up the windshield and call this 1 done

Nice work on that kit Sal, such a bummer that it was such a bad kit, and that the build was such troublesome.
I made some more progress on my build and have everything painted and curing as we speak, next will be the gloss coat, the decals, and then weathering.

I wasn't happy with the bottom of this fuel can, so I added some styrne to beed it up, and add a lip to holder.

These pictures really sorta suck, once everything is done and decaled, I get some much better ones with my cell phone.

Have a great day boys, and if you are a football fan, enjoy the darby

Hi Lap Man,
Following along for sure - got one of these in the stash so I'm keen to learn from your build. Looking forward to the next update.

Here is my in progress photo with the Legend addition of the ambulance parts. You may have seen this on the review I did for the Legend set. Doing double duty with this build; hope that is okay?
And the finished version!
And another angle
If you want a jeep with a different look the Legend kit does a great job, it makes a real eye catcher on the shelf.
Cheers,
Rick Cooper

Finished up my jeep this morning, thanks for having me here boys, and allowing me to join this great campaign.
I went for more of the clean look, and not the beat down and destroyed look that I usually build too.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!
I'm a ford MUTT's lover and your is very nice without camo!

Calling this one done folks. It will get a flat clear and some more weathering once I get the diorama set up and decide how muddy things will be.

Thanks for getting this one rolling Michael, I've had a lot of fun with my little build and I am really enjoying watching everybody's builds coming together.
Photos are also in the gallery now.
Cheers, D

Hi everyone.. Lots of great builds being finished here..
I'm still working on My BRC-40..
Got the first clear coat on.. did the decals very basic for the vehicle... added Archers Dash Placards and Gauges.. can't really understand why the kit didn't include them.. did some of the detail painting a lot left to go along with some light weathering..

Got some work done. Took a whack at pinwashing. Went for a dirty/rusty look since it was over flat paint.
I put the rear bumpers on the right way. Now the spare tire and Jerry can fit.
I brush painted a lot of parts. There's only light coats on some parts and one coat of "flat rubber" on the tires. I used very thin paint so I think I need to let it dry for 24 hours so the next coat doesn't get wiped off. I figured I could avoid brush marks this way.. So, here's a few cell pics.

looking good, and coming along nicely, those Tamiya jeep kits are a blast to build, and when I built mine, it really brought me back to the beginning of how it all started.

Ok everyone
here is an update on my Bantam BTR-40
got most of the detail painting done.. some of the weathering can't get the seats exactly how I want them yet.. here is a photo..
Ok some more weathering to go and not a problem I have..
The windscreen is now MIA, i have tore through my area looking for it.. two possibles that might have happened, a cat got it when I wasn't looking, and the wife said she heard something in the vacuum cleaner but she didn't look just tossed it..
Will it be ok to finish up without the windscreen or should I just shelve this one..

You go Delbert, windshields were removed sometimes. Right?
Great progress here (except me)! Really good to see so many getting done this close to the finish line.
