Pure craftmanship, the painting, the sculpting. Can't see enough of that. Looking foreward to the complete scene which will be different from the usual I suppose. Love the out of the box-work.
It takes REAL creativity not only to compose a scenery but make it into 3D-reality and it takes a lot of time and effort too.

Dave and Dan-thanks guys,I always appreciate the comments.
John-thanks for the kind words. The hair was etched with a sharp blade and then painted. When dry I add tiny tufts of cotton from a swab in strategic places. The cotton is dipped in paint and left to dry before I seperate the strands.

Jerry.... I thought that was a real life picture at first, and not 1/35 scale figures. This batch is just stunning.

Hi Jerry,
Whenever I see the 'Elbe' bumped up in the forums, my automatic reflex is to push on the link immediately. I just know there will be more figure goodness to follow. ... Just like second Christmas!
The blue top lady resting her elbows on the wagon ... is she a mod or did her arms come that way? Either way, she looks rightfully haggard. Nice choices all-round.
Cheers!🍺

Dave,John,Conor and Mike,
Thanks all,for the very generous and rapid responses to this. It is always appreciated.
Mike, the figs are all from a resin PlusModel set. I just cleaned them up and filled in some creases on the leaning ladys' skirt. Otherwise, straight from the box. Nice figs.
Coming up next is another animal. It is a nice change of pace.

ON behalf of myself and my goat,I thank you Sean,
Here are the next two folks under way. I cherry picked the parts I need to get these two close to the pose I want. I will use resin heads and hands. Anyone have a guess what they will be doing?

Sorry Mike,I hope you didn't wager too high on final jepardy.
The correct answer is "What are two old friends that fought through the war to do when it's about to end ?".
They raid someones' cellar and get stinkin' drunk off course Alex.
Here is where I am after a lot of cutting, grinding, slicing and dicing. When the plastic dust settled this showed up.
Still very basic and still need hands, etc but you get the gist. These guys will get stuck in an out of the way corner somewhere.

For those who can read German: a nice background info to Mr. Rutman's 'Trinkebrüder'!
Just wondering if an overcorrect Nazi official would not have handed them over to a Feldjäger unit?
But maybe Mr. Rutman has already painted both the official and a couple of Feldjäger NCOs, being on their way to the crime zone. I wouldn't be suprised if he has.

Just kidding!
Paul - thanks for the link to the very interesting article. I guess it wasn't just American hillbillies who enjoyed their "moonshine."
