Thanks Mike and Ron,for staying with this one here. Ron I don't think the shouting thing will work here as there is no rush,just another truck in the crowd heading West! When you see the officer in relation to the driver the hand makes more sense.

I really don't know how you find the motivation, I've got two figures on the go and they seem to be taking ages. Looking real good though.

Hi Jerry - with this many figures, I wonder how you will go about painting so many of them? Recently I've been doing it in a bit of a production line - that is skin for as many as I can do - then clothing another day and so on. But you have so many - maybe small groups three or four at a time, take a day off and get back at it?

Thanks for looking in guys and making the nice remarks. Nick,I will paint them one at a time. This helps me because I have such a short retaining time for techniques,so once I get into it I can use all of the relearned knowledge before I forget it again. This is also why I am converting all of the figs before I paint them.
Might seem odd but I have to work with what I have!

Nice progress and this does help with understanding the step board rider. What's next in the production line?

I think it's time to re visit the guys in the cab and get them ready so I can paint them and close the cab up.

Loving the recent progress Jerry. In relation to the figures getting into the truck, the Officers hand gesture becomes much clearer to understand now. Great to see so many different figures in the back of the truck too- so many little things going on in there!

Hi Jerry, your project is humming right along, it sure looks like a lot of work. I look forward to your latest updates, and by look of things I am not alone. Have you decided on the overall dio yet, and the surroundings??? Maybe a bottleneck at a bridge with US troops and MPs I have a Famo with trailer and a bunch of etch sets for it. I wonder how many figures could fit on one of these. At my rate it would take me 10 years to finish it, oh well, a fella can dream about it. Sorry,all,for the long delay in getting back to answering all of your great comments. It is very special to me to be able to read those.
We had a loss in our pet family and it is hard to get as motivated today but here is a smallish update.
I actually did go ahead and get back to the trucks' hood and cab.
To review here are the three amigos and the hood ornament. Rough poses.
Have a look,



Here are the three amigos with my dremel taking away the plastic flesh that was not needed. A bit of putty was added but not all.



View looking into the cab. I changed the middle amigos' head to look to the left (his right) and will still cut the fingers apart a bit to get them to make that final touch on the door frame.



The hood ornament with the final re-posing and some putty added to "melt" him onto the fender. I attached the headlght to him for ease of construction and to get his trousers to blend in. Now for some more putty work on him,add hands,etc



This guy got a Hornet head,albiet an older release because he can be seen way better than the three amigos can be. He also got some much better boots and leggings from a Dragon GenII kit.
Hope it's not too boring of an update.

I really look forward to your updates. You have such skill with your figures, together with clear text and great photography. Such good work all the way around.

I've found since I returned to the hobby that working on figures is almost like meditation. With the hustle and bustle of my life and work, it's nice to sit back and enjoy the quiet...

Sorry to hear about your pet Jerry. I lost my dog a year and a half ago and we'd been together 12 years. Devastated would be an understatement. It still upsets me now as I really miss him so know how it feels. I bought a really nice box for his ashes and my parents have agreed to put them in with me when I go so we're always together.
This is shaping up to be another fantastic dio. Lots of interaction between the figures and really interesting poses. Another work of art in the making.

HI Jerry! I find your projects to be most fascinating. As I get closer to retirement and I return slowly to the hobby, you and the other bloggers here keep me inspired. I lurk a lot and don't say much because I am not yet worthy of comment.
Your work is far from boring. Boring is waking up to check for new posts from you or the others here and...not finding any
