I am aware that that sea there would be no tracking update. Perhaps I did not properly state my issues.
One I have never before seen the message that said "postal administrations of the following countries/regions have ceased to release such information:
1. Canada
2. Netherlands
3. United States of America " Therefore I emailed the Lucky Model site requesting information and did not receive a reply. That has happened to me before in emailing Lucky Model. I know that posting in this thread gets an answer! All I wanted was an answer as to what this message means. is there or isn't there tracking when the package is offloaded from the ship. Simple enough.
In case the Lucky Model folks didn't know this message pops up they should be informed and if in fact tracking is discontinued by postal authorities, then they might want to look at their web site and change some things so we have a clear understanding if a purchase can or cannot be tracked.

Dear Stanley,

After detail checking, we discover we have a configuration error in services request, for any type request under "Shipping Information" will not be displayed probably to our CS support. Therefore, we missed all support ticket on this category. We have now add back the configuration and our CS will follow up all "un-read" request ticket.

Sorry for the trouble caused.

Thank you for checking on your IT issue.
However, what remains is my key question. Will there be tracking of a package when a package is taken off the boat?

Sorry in that I wanted to add this additional information from the USPS web site. "Not Trackable
USPS Tracking® is unavailable for this product for HONG KONG." I checked with local post office and they say information from HK Post is accurate. "Processing and delivery information of mail at the destination is supplied by the destination postal administration. According to the international postal operation arrangements of the Universal Postal Union, postal administrations are not bound to release processing and delivery information of "international registered mail", and postal administrations of the following countries/regions have ceased to release such information:
1. Canada
2. Netherlands
3. United States of America"
Again to clarify my question as my question remains; once off the boat will there be tracking of a package? What carrier will be handling the package in the United States and will you be able to track it using your (Lucky Model) tracking number?

I am in Canada and speaking from my own experience with SURFACE shipping from Hong Kong, I can track the package thru Canada Post's website once it LANDS in Canada. The site shows date of arrival. Date sent to processing (which I interpret in hands of CBSA for exam) and date of return from processing and date it is out for delivery, etc. But when the package is "on the water" it is not trackable at all.

Raymond
Thanks for the quick reply and explanation of my order. It looks like Lucky Model needs to continue to improve /fix its inventory system. Besides, Kinetic, what are the other brands that LM can source quickly/easily?

I had no problems with Luckymodel with most of the items, but..

I feel better supplying of figures like Alpine, Bravo-6 etc is needed. Last year I ordered some Alpine and Bravo-6 figures and after waiting 5-6 months canceled the order. I was refunded quick, but is frustrating. Found the needed figures at other vendors, although with shipping.
I really like the prices and free shipping option of the figures. No issues with Legend and DEF figures, I have to admit

I hope this will improve.

Best regards,
Venelin

Have ordered and received materials from Lucky Model via air. In the past, never had a problem with tracking or delivery that way. The $2.00 shipping specials have always been a problem. From inventory being allocated to your order and then taken for someone else order to month after month delays in finally shipping an order.
Again in the past it was no big deal once the order was shipped in that there was available tracking information. Problems were addressable on the shipping and delivery end of things.
Now all I want to know from Lucky Model is after seeing the HK Post notices that information on tracking to the US is discontinued; what will happen when packages are finally "off the boat" in the US. If no tracking is available to the US then Lucky Model should say so and have some policy in place as to claims and replacement when no tracking is available. That's part of my decision to buy or not to buy from a vendor. Lucky Model has already taken your money ahead of shipping and delivery. How do I substantiate my claim to recover my money in the event that goods are not tracked for delivery. How long do I reasonably wait to file a claim with Lucky Model. Right now I am patient and awaiting delivery of my order. I just want to know their policy on this issue and await their response. It has not been forthcoming on their customer service site.
Now my experience and research on these forums has indicated to me that other than public forums and resulting bad publicity Lucky Model has developed a history of not providing a response to issues presented to their customer service website. Once aired in public you get an answer. However they don't always get an answer to the question being asked of them. That's my finding, others may have a different opinion and experience.
Given the inventory issues, customer service response, shipping issues, etc. Lucky Model seems to have a good many problems. that's reason to reconsider doing further business with them.

Stan have you tried 17 track to track your package?
If I am understanding you question right USPS won't be able to start tracking it till it arrives in the US it's the same here in Canada.

Cheers Rob.

Dear Stanley,

I have chased into the detail about what you are referring to.

OK, the following is my finding (but waiting HK Post office to confirm):

1. If you order $2 shipping item and our system send the item as "small packet" surface registered mail (certainly small items together, not big box) with tracking number RExxxxHK. Those "registered" letter package will not be trackable in US/Canada/Netherlands. I examine the record, this rules seems to apply on 1st Jan 2018 and we don't have time to catch the rules changes from HK Post (they don't tell me in advance).

2. For those order with oversize package with tracking prefix "CP.....", those are still trackable when it leave the boat and entering US/Canada Netherlands.

Your order is belongs to small package registered mail. Therefore, you cannot track it, to our experience it will reach you in March. If you don't get it we will refund to you. But beware once we perform full refund, we will not accept any kind of postal method again for specified account. I hope you understand. But we should update the rule and tell you in advance.

This is very special case where I believe no other mail order company engage before. With only apply to small packet / registered mail and apply to US/Canada/Nethlands so far.

As for lack of response, as I said this is software misconfig so we miss your ticket and now fixed.

Again I want to reinstate here:

1. We have removed the warehouse optimizer back in 2016/March (almost 2 years), all orders are in reserved and FIFO basic.
2. In order to cope with this demand, we are working a solution to expand a new warehouse in China to help to "keep" those pending orders as our resources in HK is 120% full before.
3. The new warehouse has been setup since 2017 June and start to operational in Jan 2018 (some of you may notice in RESERVED status with a suffix code "HK", "GZ" means where it is located and reserved)
4. The new expanded warehouse is 12 times (2500 sqm) more than the original, so we no longer need to compress it.

At last, for customer buyer protection, you have 180 days of period to dispute the transactions in case you don't get it. So you are protected if you don't get your shipment. It is totally at our own risk.

Regards
Raymond

Since we have Raymond here I need to ask you a question.

I have ordered a Black Dog set for Fennek in 1/35 last march. I'm still waiting for it, and although I'm not desperate to get it tomorrow I would like to know if/when you will have it in stock and should/shouldn't I ask to cancel my order and fetch it from somewhere else?

Generally speaking I never had a problem with Luckymodel. Quite the opposite.

thanks

Hello,

I am a long time Lucky Model believer (since 10 years) and have always been happy with their service. And thus it is very difficult for me to understand the treatment I get with my last order ( CM1706-372111). I made the order on 30/6/2017 but it was not sent until 27/9. I don't complain at all as I was aware of the stock issue. Normally the the surface packages from LM or Hobbyeasy take 2-3 months (even if it can be up to 6 months). By the mid of January I sent a first message to LM customer service asking for help as I thought there was a problem with the package. The tracking system of the HK post was telling: 28-11-2017 14:02 HONG KONG Arrived at processing centre (inward office of exchange).
The package was sent the 27th of September so it was strange to me. Very quickly I received an answer demanding me to wait few more weeks as the surface parcel can take up to 6 months. ok I waited. Beginning of march I sent next email asking for help as the tracking n° was no longer valid. I even contacted the HK post office but got the same answer. I tried to contact LM but al my messages (3 to be precise) are read but.. no answer since beginning of march. I'm pretty disappointed as it is not the LM I was used to deal with.

I ordered a lot from them.
Not any more.
i have a running order where 2 pcs are reserved and the 3rd is 'in progress'. Don't know how long i have to wait for it.
If i order from them in the future: i first look if there are +6 in stock.
Then i place the order.
I got other sellers on e-bay that are also cheap and fast.

Dude, just ask them to cancel the order and refund your cash. Don't make it out like they aren't reputable or something. It's an automated website for ordering, but they will cheerfully refund your money and cancel things.

Honestly, some of you guys make this online ordering A LOT MORE COMPLICATED than it has to be.

Hello - I realize that we each wind up with good or less so ordering and delivery experiences - for what it's worth, I've had good luck ordering and receiving both big and small orders from Lucky - and fairly quickly. I'm in California - some packages have gotten to me really quickly, say a week or so, and other maybe 2 weeks. I will say, I only order products that are shown as being in stock -

Cheers

I recently ordered the Bronco Hotchkiss Befehlspanzer from Lucky Model and received it within 10 days. I have always had good luck with them.

I love them. Never had a problem with ordering. The only "problem" is a lot of items are out of stock. Postage to Europe is quite reasonable.
Thanks for the good service Raymond.

I cannot understand only why for some countries in Europe shipping is twice as much than others? That puts me off buying from them, except aftermarket items, which have free shipping option.
Otherwise no problems with items in stock, they ship fast.

So, I placed an back order. Waited a month and no reorder. Cancelled my order. Money was refunded as store credit. Why can't I get a normal refund? You know, one that I can use to order the same product, from another distributor.

I buy from them only if I can not find what I'm looking for from Hobbyeasy or BNA, not because I've had a lot of problems, just one years ago, but I do not like the site because it's not very user friendly for me, the only thing I prefer comparing to HE is the wishlist

You can send the request for credit refund. We don't want to keep your money.
