OK, a little too quite here the last few days. Since my arms can now move again after crossfit, I decided to get cracking on this M10 Ersatz Panther conversion. The panzer brigade 150 used them during the Battle of the Bulge.

LOL

Compared to the other vehicles they tried to dress up, this was the most creative at least. I think it must be twice as big as an m10. What a circus

I'll be sure to add the blue scarf to my Dartmoor US figure and plan to add the Alpine SS guys talking to him

That's a good idea. I would like to do the Chevrolet wall, but not sure if there's a decal or something out there to do it with. I'll check in to it.
The figures I have kind of look like they're in the planning phase whereas that wall was the end of the fight. I like the wall idea now!!

Well, I've learned something there! Never realised the deceptions were such a concerted organised effort.

Greg: the Chevy wall should be pretty easy to lift off the scan and print out your own decal on that decal paper. Is that image from a book you own, or is it from the web? Either way, some simple imaging software should let you scale it, then just print on a color laser printer. If it's from a book, scan it at the highest resolution you can. Also, who's to say the mission wasn't planned in front of a big chevy sign??

Matejson - the gmc is looking awesome. The weathering is so fine and to scale in my eyes. Great work

Zon - something new for me. I'll see what decal paper sells for and give it a go then

Did some work on the Seafire MK XV this weekend. Got the Xtra Dk Sea Gray on and the Slate Gray as well. Hopefully I will get the Sky Type S on underneath this afternoon.

Mateusz: very nice work on the Duece!! Did you scratch the canvas top? It looks great.

Ian: nice camo!

I made small progress, installing my barrel. Next will be the tracks. The wheels and superstructure are just dry fit for the photo.

Greg: Thanks! Getting close, then the fun will start!

Ian: Yes, it is almost as big as my smaller 1/35th tanks! Next pics I'll try to remeber to put the commander in there. I'm sure he'll look tiny.

Jeff: Thanks. As for paint, with much fear and trembling, I think I will be attempting an ambush pattern. It will likely be a loose cross between one (or more) of the examples in the instructions and my own inability to control my airbrush My limited, and I do mean limited, research indicated that almost all of the Jagtigers came out of the factory with the ambush scheme, so I feel kind of locked in. Should be fun, and there's always windex!!

Happy Modeling, -zon

BTW: lots of rain and humidity here, with temps to match.

Zon - quite a nice wee article here - http://www.blitz72.com/2011/painting-italeri-sd-kfz-186-jagdtiger-331/

Too warm & sunny here at the moment for much modelling. We might not see the sun again so we need to make the best of it while it's nice!

I did get a light sealing gloss coat onto the Mustang last night though. Another one and the weathering can begin.

Zon... If I can do it in 1/76, then I'm sure you can do it in 1/48.I used blu-tac and masking tape.Give it a run and see what you get
Heavy thunderstorms and rain today.I just can't figure it out. It's not normal to have this type of weather this early in the summer here.Jeff T.
