I'll be doing the Jagdtiger, along with some 1/48 figgies for Round 3. I did SEA camo on a 1/72 F-4, how hard could the ambush on the Jagdtiger be?

Looks like this will give me an excuse to pick up one of the new Matildas.

Update - I submitted a request for another campaign starting ASAP

We have a 1 week extension granted so if you want or need to finish something go for it.

23 Ribbons awarded out of 66 participants. If you finished a model but its not in the gallery let me know since thats where I look to award the ribbon.

Hey Greg... I have tried twice to upload to the gallery but no luck. Will try one more time tonight.

Hi Marc, May the force be with you. I did upload a pic of your build and gave you a ribbon, it's under your profile button. The upload space is very limited before you have to erase old pics so that's why I only did one. Hope you can get it to work.

Patrick: Awesome! I really like the subtle weathering.

Ian: Thanks for the compliments. It is a beast of a tank.

miniflea: The dot filter worked really well for you. Good work!!

Burak: Thanks for the kind words.

Greg: Thanks for the extension. I should be able to weather it a bit by this Friday, and also work more on the figures, but I've mis-placed the drivers hat, so I hope I can find it.

For now, I've got the washes on and some scratches, but I need to refine them some more and add weathering.

Aloha All:

Finaly finished. Tamiya's Jagdtiger with Gas-o-line barrel.

Greg: I've posted in the gallery as well, but I will try to take better photos tomorrow in the light and replace them.

Thank you for another wonderful campaign

JT: thanks for the comments. The paint is tamiya all the way. Heavy flat black pre- shade, "red-oxide" primer of 70% flat brown / 30% flat red (this was taped off for the missing fenders), xf-60 dark yellow, then camo in xf-61 dark green and xf-64 red brown. The dots are dark yellow and dark green with the yellow ones being enhance with vallejo khaki 988. I also did a thin veil of dark yellow over the whole camo scheme. Future coat, then filter with yellow ochre oil, then wash with raw umber/ black oils. AK track wash for the tracks and metal detail bits, AK NATO rain marks for light streaks and silver pencil to highlight the metal bits. Scratches are Vallejo chocolate brown, but in hindsight I should enhance them with some flat brown. Are you sorry you asked?

BTW: your sheridan looks great. Nice depth in the paint job.

Greg: thanks for the kind words. I'll take the photos after breakfast.

Greg: I've uploaded revised images to the gallery. I couldn't figure out how to delete the previous ones, so they are still there. I uploaded the first two from below.

Good description Zon I just got a few of the AK products and itching to try them out on a few builds. I have the NATO one too and it looks like it did well with your German colors there. Did you use AK spirits or just regular spirits from the art supply store? I have Gamsol spirits that are supposed to be not too harsh.

Greg, I just used odorless Turpenoid but spirits would probably be better. I don't really have access to good spirits except the industrial strength stuff from Lowes, which seems to lift the Future some. Overall I've been happy with the AK stuff.
