Dang, I've been away from this campaign for far too long...excellent work everybody! I'm getting worried about my own build though. I've only been at the workbench for a few days since spring, and my LHS is out of the shade of grey I need to keep pushing forward with the warthog. Also doesn't help that I've got less than a month at the bench and I work every day... I hope to finish my build, but if not, I'll be saving it for a Hangar Queen campaign Happy modeling to you all!

Pete...Thanks for sharing this awesome idea/tip. I will be doing this going forward.

Well, next to the last picture as this is about finished. I cannot place any arsenal under the fuselage because of a space issue, so Jeff T. you can rest assure it will get off the launch pad now.

Still need to do some touching up, add the lens and work on the canopy. I was going to add another set of blades but I'm done working on this.

Enough is enough.

Yeah but too late as I have already secured these to the model and we all know how delicate and tedious it can be to alter things once they're cemented. I had 'em all ready to go but started to realize enough is enough as I had to back-track on work I had performed with the large piece under the fuselage.

It looks loaded for bear now as it is!

Patrick: Very nice work. Well done!

Pete: clever paint shaker. I guess I need a jigsaw now...

miniflea: nice work, especially your brush painting.

Stefan: good choice. The jeep goes together well.

Richard: welcome aboard with the 109. I look forward to seeing it.

Jeff S: great choice for weaponry. Are you going to weather it at all? Looks good.

I've made some progress getting my jagdtiger primed and pre-shaded. Next will be the layers of color.

Yeah! After a few missions that will take care of itself!

Right now it's a secret update for a secret mission.

Thanks! It's not how I imagined it would look but it could have turned out worse! None the less I stuck with it and rolled with the punches to see it through. I did use Elmers Glue ~ Rubber Cement to secure the clear parts on this build, which has always been a fear of mine when needing to attach such parts.

This one did make it to the finished shelf and is my first ever heli and is responsible for me to go on a buying frenzy of some more kits, primarily some unusual and rare helicopters in 1/72 scale to save space.

Who knows... maybe another Campaign?

After some modelling burnout lately, I went ahead and sprayed a base coat. The airbrush is not acting right but got it done

Glad you you guys like it. The worst part of the build was the turret as the resin pieces did not fit right at the front so I had to cut and sand and press parts to get it to sit far enough back. It may need a little fallen snow to cover up, we'll see (I keep forgetting to get a pic of it at the front). Next up are decals.

Greg,

Love the OD shade. What do you use?
I've been trying Tamiya OD mixed with Dark Yellow over a Citadel Black primer, but mine always comes out too dark and too Greenish. Ever try OD mixed with Buff?

I have just started to build 1/48 Italeri Puma. As a stranger to this scale, it has good dimensions for dioramas.

Burak... Nice choice,I did Tamiya's kit, which is a re-box of your kit for this campaign. It will be interesting to see how it goes together compaired to the Tamiya kit, even though they both used the same molds.
Here's a couple of pics of how mine came out.

Best of luck with your build.Jeff T.

Greg, outstanding looking Ersatz M-10 so far. Sorry the resin didn't fit better for you but it looks great, nonetheless. I still give the Germans a D- for M-10 impersonation, though.

Jeff T, great looking Puma. Your weathering job is outstanding and really compliments the camo. I hope you did not get any MIG pigments on the white carpet, SIR!!!!!!

Best wishes, Ian

Ian - thanks, I'll have to do a side by side pic of it next to a M10

Burak - welcome to the campaign and a great choice as you can see from Jeff's build.

Patrick - I used the OD and dk yellow. It actually came out really yellow the first pass (60:40), and I was thinking it really looks like a Panther tank now. So I darkened it with a little more OD (75:25) and did some more random light passes to mix up the color tones. I've never tried OD with Buff. It seems to be a fine line to get that OD just light enough to be in scale.

OK Ian, now which is the REAL M10? ...but it does have the profile
