Jeff, hope you finished the teeth for the T28 tracks. I really dragged my feet but it only took about 4 1/2 or 5 hours to glue them all on. And DESPITE losing between one and two dozen to the carpet monster ("ping! out of the tweezers!") I still had about 20 left over. THANK YOU Cyber Hobby for finally putting in TOO many of the one part that is sure to have a lot of attrition.

The tracks really held up the rest of my assembly. I have the sponsons all assembled and painted but I want to get them attached to the hull proper to get the connecting horns on the hull to line up tight.
'Course while waiting I saw somebody post photos of what's really inside of the sponsons. If only my harddrive hadn't died I might still have that picture. So I may scratch build in the insides.

Erhan: nice maus I like the splinter style camo

Jeff: are you having the sponsons on or off? If they are
modelled in the mounted position then relax and only do half the tracks. Nobody will no about it except you
There is no need to stress yourself with something that
will never be seen

Well here you have the green with hair spray:

Oh yes, I wrote a mail to the Bovvy tank museum, the ball mount is a telescopic sight,No.66 x 3 M.L. Mk. 1 (if you are reading this thanks to Stuart the librarian
)

Cheers

Hi Keith and thanks, your build is also looking good .
You say you use brush hairs for antenna, don´t they warp after a while ?
I normally use 0.3mm brass wire, which i give a light twist
to in a drill, that way it stays straight.
Well I´ve had some time off work too, thanks to the bank holiday in Germany and having worked last Sat.

Light stone over the green. This is a mix I made from Tamiya paints, XF60 Dark Yellow, XF57 Buff and XF55 Deck tan. Please don´t ask with what ratio, because I have know idea , here you are then:

Can I have some "chips" with my tortoise.
Why yes Sir, certainly.

and now for the recognition markings:

I´ll try and get the tracks tonight and some gloss for the weathering tomorrow.

Hi paul I was asking about the antena as Info from other modellers say this is OK not heard about the warping affect what size brass wire do you use I usually go for lead wire but thought about a change for this build
any info shared is the best to try as they say

Ok, I can call my E-100 done. Photos will be right after I charge my camera and figure out how to operate it. I am kinda getting lost in some modern technologies...
Here is some preview from my phone...

Ok, done. In time, I might get back to it, add some final touches. For now, with resources given, it's the best I can do. But hey, you guys were right, building it was pretty much fun

Added some figure from Academys Tiger to make some perspective.

Oh yeah and for those who can't read schwabach, it says "Die Glocke", The Bell. Since E-100 had such a huge armor, everything Allies could throw at it just dinged away, crew named that tank The Bell.

Hello Andy,
well after you said the tracks are the wrong way round I ripped them of and refitted them. I then checked some references and found that you are so wrong. THEY WERE CORRECT to start with .

What ever you are using as reference, bin it buddy.
I´m now trying to get mine off and on again as they were.

Thanks guys,

Paul, that Tortoise looks stunning! And yeah, you got the tracks right
Also, those tracks were not that bad. They were soft enough to shape them right, even revells paint holds onto them without unnecessary chipping off. Unlike those goddamn Academy tracks for Tiger I...

Dragging my feet on this one (as well as everything else here lately), I've at least found a suitable base for final display.

Some texture added to turret. I didn't go too crazy with this.

Base coat of paint applied to turret; some minor flaws to work out, then I can commence with final painting.

Okay, no pictures, no updates... still dealing with the guide teeth.

So I thought maybe the liquid cement was a bit much to work with because of the high evaporation rate. So I bought a tube of Testors cement to try. Wow, I remember that smell!

You can lay down more glue but I guess I cut them too long and it took too long to get them straight.

So, I'm puzzled. Maybe I'll go and buy a bunch of vinyl track and start stapling?

Quoted Text

Jeff I found that super glue works best for attaching the guide teeth, still took me about 5 hours to do them all, then painting four tracks took another 3 or 4.

Got my base coat onto the T-28

Thanks! I feel like giving up but haven't yet.

The tracks must be done FIRST before the gravy build begins.
