Hi Christian,
I don't see why not, should still be plenty of time.
Hi Dick,
Excellent work on the gun and tracks, should be a real show stopper when you're finished.
Cheers

Hi guys,
Thanks for the kind words.
The Atlantic magazine - on line - has started a weekly photo series on the Great War with some spectacular archival photographs, many of which are new to me. Well worth checking out.
Cheers,
Dick

Welcome to the campaign Christian! There's a lot of resin and scratchbuilt work going on, yours will fit right in!

Hello all!
At last I'm able to join the band. My election is Tommy's War QF 13 Pdr. and Bombardier. Looks promising!
Hope to be up to the mark. WWI is no my preferred era, but not everyday one can celebrate such event...
Regards
Javier

Great stuff guys ... Hey by the way is there a photo gallery set up for the campaign? I've been finished for a while and don't want to miss it.

The Campaign runs until the end of December this year I believe, so plenty of time if you choose to do another lol.
Don't know if the gallery link has been created yet.

Hi Alan,
That 8 inch howitzer looks great, but I've got too much on my plate already.
Cheers,
Dick

Hi Dick,
Yes, it is a golden age for Allied modellers, I need much more modelling time. It should make for a cracking display.
With the pending arrival of the Holt Tractor and the forthcoming 60pdr more future WW1 projects are stacking up and I've yet to build the 18pdr.
Two new British tanks and some new infantry add to the mix so build options for WW1 in 1/35 scale are increasing steadily which is good news.
Cheers

Al, Rchard,
Thanks for your comments. I do think Tiger was the most beautiful of all the Battlecruisers, managing to look graceful, elegant and powerful all at the same time.
feel she really is coming together now.
Si.

Thanks Keith,
I must admit I hooked on the wood decks, much better than I could paint.
On with the boats, chocks first.
Three of the boats in place, the larger cutter has had a wash, the two smaller ones are awaiting there wash.
The smaller cutters have had a wash applied, and the chocks for the steam pinaces that sit half on and half off the shelterdeck are fitted.
another view from overhead, with the one of the pinaces' test fitted.

Thanks Al,
Am going to rob some boat spare fittings for the open boats from old frets, no oars or rudders, or even chocks for the double banked boats on the combrig fret.

Managed to find some spare chocks, fitted to the large cutter on the port side.
The medium sized cutter fitted into the chocks, not perfect, but better than trying to fit it without chocks.
A bit more paintwork on the steam pinaces.
I have sourced some etch for the boats, but as yet not enough o fit them all out. Given the cost of this kit, I am struggling somewhat due to the lack of completeness, had it been cheap and cheerful I wouldn't have minded, but too many basics not included, still, getting there,
