Hi Chaps,
I thought it only good manners to let you know that I've de-enlisted from this campaign. It's nothing personal, just that I've realised that, because my build speed is so painfully slow, I would really struggle to hit the deadline and thus risk having yet another half-finished project painfully hidden away like some embarrassing bastard child at a family reunion.
I wish you all lots of fun doing this and will be looking in to see everyone's progress.
Happy tanking all!

OK... I'll bite. WHAT badge are you guys seeing? I didn't know that one was actually finalized!
But I do still have a nice light tank kit available for this, whatever the badge is!

I will have to check my schedule, but I intend to build an M3A1 Stuart with all the goodies as a commission piece. The client wants it to look like the knocked out Stuart, located in Fredericksburg.

This will be my entry for the campaign. Just ordered it and it should be here by the start date. Heard nothing but good things about this kit so I am hoping for the best.

Nice. I managed to finally get my hands on a Tasca Luchs (for only $12.50!) so we may have another build comparison going on.

Wow!
$12.50 for a Tasca Luchs kit! What a LUCKY DOG you are! Specially if it is actually complete!
The Tasca Luchs kits are definitely great kits and fine builds.

Yep. It's complete but out of wrapping. A guy (a very enthusiastic guy by the way) is selling off much of his stash. Lots of DML's and other good WWII German AFV's.
Actually I just checked, the kit is missing the instructions.

As of now, I only spent $6.50 on a Tasca Luchs 35-001. I'm being refunded $6.00 because the seller was able to ship it for cheaper than previously estimated.

Well... Not so lucky as of yet... He didnt include the $6 with the package. And it wasn't worth it to mail it back so right now I still spent $12.50 on it. But that $6 is being applied to credit if I buy any other of his kits. And since all his kits are priced at $19... Even though he's selling some German DMLs, a Tristar, and some Cyberhobby kits... That $6 would go a long way...
And I'm going to have to start buying some lotto tickets now.

I'm set on the Skybow M41A3 its already in the stash. Its just a matter of choosing a marking scheme; Straight OD, Alaskan winter camo, New Zealand cammo. I can figure that out as I build it. Lets have fun and build some awesome kits.

First post, first campaign!
I'm going to build a Tamiya universal / Bren gun carrier. I think this qualifies as a tankette.

Nice line of thinking, but unfortunately, the Universal Carrier is not a light tank or tankette. It's a personnel carrier. So it does not apply to this build. Sorry.

Well, I guess being campaign leader, I get to go first.. (Haha. Just me or is this a coincidence? ). I started on one of my three possibles for this campaign: the Tamiya M5A1 Stuart:
Obviously, even with all of Tamiya's incredible engineering and fit, there's still a gap that has to be filled.
Because of the infamous r/c adapter holes, I had decided to first make a base for the putty to settle on using some card stock I have:
I'll fill the putty in later as soon as the super glue dries. For now I'm just working random subassemblies.
And yes, that camouflage box-ish thing you see in the background of the first picture, I made it as a tool/spares holder... Huh... My first scratchbuilt item too...
