Well I'm glad someone else posted a start to a build, even if it's a proposed start. I was getting lonely being the only person to have started this campaign.

well there is actually a bit that I can do to ease your pain



I´m not starting this week (just remembered that I have to complete a kit for a competition on the weekend ), but I´m shure you´re having fun with you shake and bake without us..

Frankly I think this going to turn into a couple layer cake bake at 100* the way this is going... i had to fill in a few spaces and holes on the way and the fit on some things is finicky, like the suspension. The instructions, although mostly clear are a tad bit vague in a few places... From what I've built so far it seems Tamiya strayed a tad from it's norm here, at least with this one kit.

There might not be a lot of sprues but the parts are VERY challenging to remove!



So the start had me clamping down on my teeth!



I mean the 2 parts hanging off the side there, one good cough and it's HISTORY! GONE! MIA!

Holy cow bells thats tiny... Didn't even know that you could mold parts that small... And here I thought that some parts for the Tasca Luchs and AFV Club M41 were small.

Yeah... there are some really 'silly small' parts in there. I do hope I can use them all and then show them!

First lets just hope you can use them before you lose them.

Those "silly small" parts are truly just that! Time for the magnifiers! Super easy to lose before you use!

But, being a guy who always seems able to "find silver under just about any cloud, however dark"... I would like to add that Bronco may have done a good job of making this kit safer for cats and such than some kits full of fiddly parts which drop or fly to the floor...

These look like they would be quite small enough to simply be eaten and quickly go through without problems! SAFE for cats - even small kittens! Maybe Bronco can add that somewhere on their box labels...

Of course, making the parts really tiny could also save one some time... instead of fiddling around with tweezers and trying to avoid a glue-bomb mess, one could just let the little boogers fly and feed the cat and move on to stuff you can actually see and handle!

Hey Bob, oh no tweezers for parts this small! They would crush and destroy them! I use liquid cement and then pick up the part with a little moisture on the finger, then move it into place. The glue will not get on your finger and you won't lose the part!

After my last post yesterday I built the transmission, thinking I would follow with the engine too so I could throw a little paint down! YIKES!! I could have sworn my eyes were bleeding! LOL

But hey... I asked for it and I am lovin' every minute of it! LOL I'll put together the engine tonight and maybe a little paint and then show what they look like!

Jeff, you, my friend, are a brave man...

Here's what I did from last night: Filled in the r/c adaptation holes, filled in a few gaps here and there, worked the upper hull a bit, and started the shell of the turret. It's tough to pace yourself when you're working on something that's so small and with so fewer parts as compared to the larger kits.





Going to work a bit more on it today.

Glad to see Jeff & Michael with their little builds, so I wondered... where's mine ?

Bob, the shoe, be it though a very lead-full shoe, does fit on the Pz. I F.

Comparing it to other Pz I, it's a panzer on steroids I agree.

Hey guys, my Zvezda Bt-5 arrived in the post today hurray! Im not that disappointed with it at all like many of the reviews I have read, only a few sink marks here and there and the detail is reasonably crisp. Ive order a PE set for the Italeri Kit (oops, hope i can make it fit) and the Bison Decals for a Spanish civil war version. Still got my Vally on the painting table so Ill start later but it seems a fe people are doing that. anyway here are a few photos

Well I'm throwing my kit into the ring with the Skybow M41A3. Funny how at 26 tons its a light talk. Its all subjective. It also shows the changes of the post World War 2 world.

Nice kit there. I've heard that the Skybow M41 is better than the AFV Club version.

I finished the building of the Stuart (actually I didn't realize I finished until a few minutes later after confusedly flipping thru the instructions) so I just have to paint it and mount the tracks, various tid bits, and the tools.

I'll be building a 1/72 M3 Stuart from Mirage:





Planning to model this kit after one of the M3 Stuarts of the US 192nd Tank Battalion that fought in the Philippines during the Japanese invasion in Dec. 1941.

OK. Here it is. I´ll start it tonight.
