I agree that is a lot of details. I have a Dragon PzIV on the bench now for the Operation Fall Gelb Campaign, I haven't gotten to the turret yet but you got me thinking that I maybe should look ahead a bit on the directions

Dear all,
I've started to work on the Revell 1/72 IV ausf H with the CMK Schmallturm coversion. I'll upload some photos when I get home. (Fortunately I had some free time over the weekend, and it is easy to make some headway in this scale... probably one of the reasons I like to work in braille.)
I'm also writing a review to be published, so that's another reason to hurry.

Sal, this is a Trumpeter's kit.
Also since it's an open turret, I'm going to be careful painting all those details.

Matt,
Nice job on this! In following the photos it appears you painted the tools on the tank. If this is the case, they are great! Any tips on how you painted them so cleanly.
Regards,
Joe Osborne

Joe,
I use a 00 brush and some thinned Vallejo Model Air. I have some spots to go back over and clean up. The brackets for the jack were painted first then glued in place carefully.

The Pz IV models so far are looking great and I'm inspired to tackle this StugIV with some aftermarket extras.
If anyone has built this one and wants to share any insights/pitfalls I'd love to hear from ya!

Hi all,
Here is a set from the start of the campaign. The first time I built the Trumpeter kit. I wonder how it will be. I'm still able to model Panzer IV from Italeri in total disarray, I was thinking to convert it to Munitionspanzer IV, I found some nice photos of this vehicle.

Greetings,
I'm in with an Sdkfz 165 Hummel in Braille by Revell. The site isn't letting me load photos right now.

Hi All,
I had to join this campaign as the Pz IV is my favourite tank. I will be doing a 1/72 Dragon Stug IV, but a slightly unusual one. It is based on a profile in the Firefly Collection No7, Stug. It has concrete armour and an early Stug III mantlet, quite unusual and was used by 100 Jaeger Division. Anyway here are the obligatory starting photos and I will be getting on with this in a week or so...
The parts I will be using from this kit...
Some after-market stuff...
Saves having to hollow out Revell tracks
I am looking forward to getting cracking and this should be a great campaign, I might even be able to get another build in if I don't encounter any problems with this one.
All the best,
Paul

John,
Love all that turret detail! Should make for a really nice view inside.

Did it come with any crew figures?

I'd like to join this campaign. I actually started this kit quite a few years ago, but only assembled a little bit of the lower hull as can be seen in the pic. Can I use this kit? Thanks.

Ryan, I would prefer if you used another kit, but if that's the only one in your stash, I'll allow it, you still have a lot of work ahead..

Well, it's about the least started Pz IV in my stash . I'm pretty good at starting kits, not worth a darn at finishing. There really is only one evening of work into it anyway. I'm backdating it to an Ausf G with the TMD conversion and will likely use a set of Fruil tracks, and some PE bits.

I'm in with this:

Anybody have any suggestions for a/m indie link tracks for this? Not sure I want to spend the coin for Friuls or Modelkastens.

If you want to take one for the team, how about Kaizen tracks? Not sure if there's a decent review of them out there or not, but price wise they sure look attractive.
